About Me

Hi! My name is Anne Quince and I have been working as a child minder for 21 years. I live in a large 4-bedroom house in Stoke Newington, near Clissold Park. I have a large enclosed garden with is a large selection of outdoor toys including a wooden cars, bikes, trike's, beanbags, a sand and water activity table, a growing area for plants and vegetables. There is a playroom which older children can access for free play, which has a variety of toys and equipment to support the children’s learning experiences and are aligned to the Early Years Foundation Stage goals. I firmly believe in the importance of a healthy diet. I provide freshly cooked meals three times a day and offer a wide range of healthy snacks.

I have a wealth of experience working with children and use this to provide a high standard of care and provision aligned to the EYFS Framework. I strive to offer experiences, activities and opportunities that provide the best possible learning outcomes for each individual child in my care, moving them on from where they are and adapting my practise according to how they choose to learn and achieve.
Alongside this, I make it a priority to communicate with parents, through daily discussion, diaries and shared planning. This ensures every child feels loved, valued, safe and secure, which is the best possible environment to have fun and promote effective learning and development.
We do lots of lovely activities, which cover the seven learning areas of the EYFS. These include art and craft activities, painting, sticking, cooking, visits to local parks, the library, singing and rhymes, musical instruments and movement, imaginary play, sand, water, etc. We also visit local playgroups and children’s centres on a weekly basis. Your child will also have the opportunity to socialise in a smaller group of children of varying ages, building on their confidence, social skills and communication and language.

My setting is very flexible and full of fun, offering children a wide variety of play and learning opportunities.

My Qualifications

Formally I was a trained nurse than worked as learning support assistant in a primary school for 8 years. After the birth of my third child I decided to train as a child minder. Anne took care of two of my sons. One left last week and has transferred seamlessly to school nursery which is testament to Anne's ability to nurture inspire confidence. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She provides a warm, small, loving environment which my son went to from 6 months to 3 years. There was never a day when he didn't want to go and he has left with a handful of really good, close friends. Her food was better than mine (she does a mean roast chicken for them), she took them to playgroups, the library and the park and ensured he always had the right amount of sleep at lunchtime. Also she was flexible which was invaluable to me as a freelancer. If I needed a few extra hours here and there she would accommodate. A really safe pair of hands who I always felt as taking the best care of my child.

Anne has taken great care of both our boys since they were 6 months old. She provides a caring and nurturing environment for young children. Both our boys have always loved going to her home and they enjoy a mix of activities at playgroups and quiet time in Annes home. I highly recommend Anne as a Chilminder she takes care of the kids as if they are her own.
