About Me
I am a married British 40+ year old woman, with two of my own happy and healthy grown up children. I have over 25+ years experience of taking care of twins, triplets and children with special needs , from birth up to age 19. I enjoy helping with homework, taking the children in my care to parks, library, music groups and stay & play groups, as I believe these activities help children learn and grow into happy and healthy young adults. My own children are now 17 & 19 and no longer need me as much. I enjoy sewing and other arts and craft activities. I am respectful of all faiths and beliefs and will accommodate specific needs. I treat every child as an individual .I believe all children need lots of love, attention and room to grow. I am punctual and respect and keep time. I love taking care of babies and young children and helping them grow up to fulfil their potential. I also don't mind doing light house work within my role as required. My Experience
Since I was 16 I have done babysitting, worked in nurseries and taken care of children of all ages from newborn upwards. I have helped out at a range of childcare settings including kids clubs like Beavers & Scouts groups, stay & play groups, and other organised playgroups. For the past 20+ years I have also worked as a nanny. I have experience of taking care of children and young adults with special needs and disabilities. Looking after children is a vocation for me, and l enjoy my job. In most of my positions l also help with light cleaning and laundry.

Ruth very quickly became one of our toddlers most favourite people. She helped develop his speech, taught him new vocabulary, helped him prepare for arrival of his little sister, took him to farms and various other activities and adventures which he loved - all of this completely out of her own initiative. When little sister arrived, Ruth adored her like she would her own child or grandchild even though she had just met her.
As parents, we trust Ruth with our children and home blindly. No matter how hard the truth may have been, Ruth has been nothing but honest. She looks after our house as if it were her own, familiarising herself with how we live and also offering suggestions for improvement.
I could not recommend Ruth more as a guardian of our home, pet and children. She is a loved part of our family.

Ruth has been with us since our daughter was 4 months old till she joined nursery full time at the age of 2.5 years.
We can’t recommend her enough for any parent who wants a loving and soothing presence for their baby. She took care of our growing child and her needs. They had a wonderful time together, reading books and going to the park. Ruth especially spent time at the library with our daughter, something she remembers with fondness till date.
If it wasn’t for our daughter starting nursery, Ruth would still be a member of our family.

Ruth worked with our son for 1 year and we found her to be very reliable and trustworthy. Always on time and going above and beyond to help us out and especially our little boy. He grew to adore her and considered her part of the family. Unfortunately we had to part ways due to change in my working schedule but I highly recommend her to any family who will be lucky to have has as a nanny.

For the 4years that she worked for me I found Ruth to be excellent. Never late always available at last minute, even though we would always give at least 2 days notice. When I was pregnant with my second she was a big help, having my oldest the whole time I was in hospital (I had a c section) even brought her in to see me. When I was ill and couldn't get out of bed she stayed with me the whole 2 weeks. As my husband works away. She is very kind always putting herself out to help me and my family. She looked after my youngest 2 children since they where born . The kids loved her food she even cooked for me and my husband. She always kept the house neat ,clean and tidy. I wish I could have paid her more. The only reason I had to let her go is we moved away because of my husbands job. I tried to convince Ruth to come with us. But she couldn't leave her own family. Anyone hiring her should know how lucky they are as she really enriched our family live
