About Me
I am a 25 year old BA (Hons) Early Childhood graduate with a clear DBS and a full driving license, who is looking to expand on the experience I already have of working with children.
I have a caring nature which I feel is essential whilst working with children, and has enabled me to build bonds with children I have worked with on both college and university placements. I am a patient, organised person who enjoys being creative and making the most of any opportunity that arises. I pride myself in being a good listener which I feel is an important quality when working with children, because through effective communication and interaction I can provide children with the best care possible.
I’ve been told that I am an approachable, reliable and responsible person who is confident and can communicate well at all levels. I appreciate the commitment required to take on a baby sitting or nursery nurse jobs, but I am prepared for the commit in order to care for your child or children. I would describe myself as an enthusiastic individual with a sense of humour enabling children to feel at ease around me which in turn has led to them gaining more confidence in themselves, I have witnessed this is in my many placements.

My Experience
Once completing my degree, I joined a local supply agency and worked in a number of local primary schools before being offered a full time position in a local nursery/preschool, where I lead 'time for twos sessions' and also worked with older nursery children for just over two years before leaving to travel South East Asia for 10 months with my partner. As part of both my degree (BA Hons Early Childhood Professional Practice with the University of Worcester) and the college course (BTEC Level 3 in Children's Play, Learning and Development) I have completed I was also required to complete a specified amount of hours within early years settings. Completing more than 1500 hours in a local primary schools, 200 hours in a local day nursery and 70 hours in a local SureStart Children's centre. I also worked in a local day nursery as a holiday cover staff member over two summers, adding to my already large amount of experience with children aged from 0-8.
The theory I have learnt through my education and the experience I have gained through my placements and employment have enabled me to put what I have learnt to good use and do what I love doing, working with children. I've had many responsibilities within my roles and commit to fulfil my duty of care. Carrying out activities with children, supporting their learning and development and even assisting with daily care routines are just a few examples of responsibilities I have vast experience in.
My Qualifications
In 2019 I completed a First Class Honours degree in BA (Hons) in Early Childhood (Professional Practice) at the University of Worcester.
In 2016 I acheived a final grade of triple distinction star (D*D*D*) in Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children Play, Learning and Development at a local college.
Upon the completion of my GCSEs in secondary school (2014), I achieved the following grades;
