My Experience

I have extensive experience working with children in various settings including nurseries, preschools, children's homes, private self-employed swimming teacher and mentoring. I am a fully qualified lifeguard and have also completed a pediatric first aid course and safeguarding course, ensuring that I am equipped to handle any emergency situations. I hold a full clean DBS and driver's license, demonstrating my commitment to the safety and well-being of the children I work with.

In addition to my experience in traditional childcare settings, I have also worked as an outdoor activity leader for PGL and JCA, organizing and facilitating engaging and exciting activities for children. I have also held the role of setting manager during school breaks, running activity camps and overseeing the smooth operation of the program.

Currently, I am working with children with complex additional needs and repetitive developmental trauma. This has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of various therapeutic practices and interventions, enabling me to provide the necessary support and guidance to these children. I am also trained in level 2 patherical demand avoidance, POP training, and level 2 understanding autism, further enhancing my skills and knowledge in working with children with special needs.

In terms of qualifications, I hold a Level 3 health and social care certificate, demonstrating my understanding of the individual needs and development of children. I am also an ASA level 2 Swimming Teacher, allowing me to provide swimming lessons to children of all skill levels. Additionally, I have obtained my emergency first aid at work, City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 in outdoor activities, and NPLQ qualification as a qualified lifeguard. I am trained in AED use and have received training in handling an Epi-pen, further ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under my care.
