About Me
Hello my name is Amy, I am 28 years old.
I am currently a teacher in a year 2 class, I work within a mainstream school, within my class I work with children who have autism and special educational needs.
I have experience of working with children from 1 years to 7 years within nurseries and schools. I throughly enjoy my job and love working with children, building relationships, making crafts and having fun whilst actively supporting their development. I am a fun, enthusiatic individual who is very approachable and kind. I always put 100% effort into everything I do. I am always punctual and have good time management skills. I have been interested in working with children since a very young age and have worked hard to achieve my goals and become a primary school teacher.
I have always worked within the care industry. Working with the elderly who have dementia and in Salisbury NHS working as a care assistant on multiple wards. I have also worked in numerous childcare settings working with children of different ages and many children with various needs.
I am a patient person who has a caring nature, I always want to help and support people the best I can. I am well able to build strong rapport with children and their parents. I am also a lot of fun, playing fun games and being 'silly'. I am happy to take children out for the day, stay in their house and tutor if needed/wanted.
I am also happy to help with household jobs including cooking and cleaning where needed.

My Experience
I have worked in a mixture of childcare settings working with children of different ages and different individual needs. This year I am a class teacher in year 1 and prior I was working in a mainstream school with behaviour difficulties as a year 1 and 2 Class Teacher, an a nursery room leader. Since then I have moved to Weymouth. I believe every child is a unique individual and I will strive to help every child reach their full potential. Building strong relationships is key to sucess and I believe I am a bubbly, friendly, outgoing person who can help every child develop and learn whilst having a lot of fun.
My Qualifications
PGCE Post Graduate Certificate of Education
And further CPD courses (Extra training since becoming a qualified teacher)
BA (Hons) Education and Early Childhood degree -grade 2.1
CACHE childcare and education diploma -grade B
12 GCSE's at grade C or above.
My Availability
At present I work in school Monday to Friday during term time. I am avaliable to look after children during school holiday, evenings and weekends
I am able to offer occasional support for parents during term time due to teaching full time but can offer more hours during school holidays. I am also able to offer private tutoring during term time and holidays. .
