Hi, my name is Sarah-Jane, I am 25 years old and I love working with children. I am a trustworthy, reliable and caring person who has 3 years and counting experience working in childcare. My hobbies and interests include working out, socialising and listening to music, I also volunteer at a soup kitchen in Hamilton sometimes as I enjoy helping others. I am SSSC and PVG registered and trained in paediatric first aid.
My Experience
I began training as an apprentice with Carousel Training Centre, Glasgow where I completed coursework alongside a 1 year placement at Nursery, South Lanarkshire. I then went on to get full time work as a supply teacher as well as a key worker where I supported and kept track of the children’s development and learning at nursery for 3 years working with all ages ranging from 0-12 years old. Currently I am a creche worker for a company working as and when needed in different creches across a few nearby locations with different age groups, backgrounds and needs. I have worked with children from various different ethnicities, religions, disabilities (such as autism) and living situations. I also have experience babysitting in a home environment as from time to time I babysit a 2 year old child who use to attend the previous nursery I worked in.
My Qualifications
SVQ level 3 social services of children and young people (March 2016), Safeaid emergency paediatric first aid (April 2018), disclosure certificate (May 2019), SSSC certificate of registration (valid February 2015-February 2020), certificate of achievement for challenging behaviour with BNG training (August 2017), references on request.
