About Me

I have always had an interest and passion for young people’s development. From a young age I had a responsibility to take care of my younger siblings and then later on, I worked as a nanny in Italy taking care of a 2 year old.
I was able to begin to focus this interest in at a professional level when I moved to the UK.

I enjoy working with children and watching them learn and develop through play. I have a very kind, warm empathic nature and am able to quickly build children’s trust. I am also well organised. I am a strong proponent of diversity and believe that preparing children when they are young for the global culture in which we live is very important. I am a creative person and really enjoy working with art and materials which is also something I do in my spare time at home. I have been able to bring some of my ideas to the early years setting in my current position in a local school for 3 years and I worked in day nurseries for 6 years.
Children should have a positive caring environment when they are in the early year’s stage and they often face external challenges in the home environment which is why I consider it is so important to provide a safe, secure and caring environment.
