About Me
I love working with children and have an enthusiastic but patient manner that is really suited to looking after children and helping them develop.
I am looking for a position where I can put my previous experience as a Nursery Nurse to good use in my I am qualified in CACHE Level 3 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Child Care and Education (NQF) and that I have looked after children from a few months to eleven years in age. I also have experience working with children who have autism or special needs. I found the experience life changing and very meaningful.
I pride myself in helping to create a fun and interactive environment for children and giving parents peace of mind while they are at work.
My Experience
The reason for leaving my previous role was due to relocating to a Leeds. My previous role was based in Birmingham.
My roles and responsibilities as a Senior nursery nurse included
ensuring the delivery of an effective childcare within the nursery. It was my task to ensure that the classrooms were organised to fulfil the requirements of the specific age group within the EYFS and nursery policies.
Working with children, parents and staff. Delivering staff meetings. Educating staff about the new changes in the EYFS and introducing British Values in the setting.
My job role included participating and to be part of the senior staff team meetings within the nursery.
I regularly attended appropriate training such as first aid, level one autism, health and food hygiene and personal, social and emotional development.
My responsibilities also included being room leader ensuring staff working under me were up to date on observations and lesson plans.
I would often track each childs progress and keep a record of development
I have interviewed staff for nursery nurse positions I have also trained staff to become outstanding practitioners.
On some occasions I was responsible for leading the nursery when management was not available
I have always been very passionate about childcare . I believe this is an opportunity for me to progress and learn new skills.
