About Me
My name is Loretta and I am an OFSTED registered childminder with over 25 years’ experience as a childcare professional. I am married with 4 grown-up children and live in Hemel Hempstead, a short walk from the town centre. Situated within our friendly family home, I offer a warm, caring and non-smoking environment for children aged 0-8 to flourish and grow. Our home is filled with toys, books and educational tools to aid learning and development. I encourage all types of play and we also enjoy stories, music, arts and crafts. As well as having a back garden for regular fresh air and outdoor play, we also get out and about most days by visiting the park, zoo, splash parks, soft play centres, and playgroups.
We have friendly cats and dogs within the home which allow the children to learn the importance of caring for animals from a young age, strictly under adult supervision. It is important to note the dogs are kept in a separate room and contact with the children is only allowed with parental permission.
Alongside many years of experience, I have a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and I regularly undertake courses to ensure my skills and knowledge of policies and procedures are up to date. This includes First Aid, Safeguarding and Child Protection courses. I have numerous references available from previous parents which I will happily provide on request.
I offer childcare Monday-Friday between 7:30 -18:00. I am flexible and can discuss arrangements on an individual basis, dependent upon your requirements.
My Experience
I have 25 years experience working as a childminder. I also have lots of experience bringing up my children all of whom I am extremely proud of in the way in which the behave and conduct themselves.
My Qualifications
I have completed many courses for childminding. These include First Aid and Child Protection I have completed my diploma level 3 in childcare.
My Availability
Monday to Friday 7:30 - 18:00. I am flexible and can discuss different arrangements on an individual basis depending on your requirements.

Our son was with Loretta’s from 6 months old to nearly two and a half years and it’s we’ve always been really happy with his care.
She has supported him every step of the way with his development and building his confidence.
He’s been on regular trips out to a local the local playgroup, parks, and the zoo giving him lots of fun experiences and memories.
Loretta’s home is immaculate and my son’s belongings always came back tidy and organised.
A change of personal circumstances have mean our son now attends nursery, but we highly recommend Loretta.

Loretta has been our childminder for the last year and we have been very happy with how our son has enjoyed his time with her. They go on daily outings; whether that be to the zoo, playgroups, local parks, soft play etc and also do lots of fun activities painting, making cards, playing in the garden. Our son runs in feeling excited about what he will be doing that day and often talks fondly about Loretta. His speech, knowledge and confidence has come on immensely over the year and he often surprises us with the things he knows and has obviously learnt with Loretta.
