About Me
I have re-registered with Ofsted as a childminder after working for a local primary school for 13years. I am an enthusiastic, bubbly and trustworthy person who adores working with children. I specialise in caring for babies, pre-schoolers and primary aged children and offer a home away from home experience for your little gems. In my three-bedroom home I have lots of amazing resources for children to explore, from jigsaws to role play accessories, painting, arts and crafts to train tracks and lots and lots of books. I also have a lovely long garden for children to stretch their legs and learn about the world around them.
The children enjoy driving the cars and tractors, using the playhouse from cooking to ironing. We have great fun in our lovely garden.
I provide healthy home-cooked meals and plenty of snacks and fruit throughout the day.
I live in Enfield with my daughter Beth. She is 21 and is in her final year at university. Beth loves children and enjoys having them in our lives.
My Experience
After having my daughter Beth I registered as a childminder to look after her and other children. After eight years of childminding I decided to broaden my knowledge of childcare and began working at a primary school as a teaching assistant and later a nursery nurse. I have been working within the Early Years Foundation Stage for the last 14years,and I have been the lead for phonics and implementation within the school. I am also experienced in teaching English as an additional language.
My experience allows me to choose suitable activities for the ages of children in my care, allowing them to thrive and learn through play. I am also able to support older children as they begin to bring school work home.
I am also a registered foster carer, and for the last 15 years I have helped raise 7 young children.
I have returned to childminding and my experience within a primary school environment makes me especially suited to preparing children for starting school and supporting pupils through their early years.
On the 5th March 2019, I had my first Graded Ofsted inspection. Which I’m proud to say it’s a good.
