I have worked with children for over 29 years. I have my own children that are all grown up now. Daughter 27 sons 25,18
I have my own car
we enjoy lots of play if that be in the home or out door play, also vists to museums and parks and other local events,
i have been working with children since 1992 as i started as a nanny then went to work in an early years excellence centre.
I then started childminding in 2000
i find my job gives me a lot of satisfaction, flexibility is essential to be able to respond to childrens need as they grow and develop.
The skills required involved not only meeting the the needs of children and making sure they are safe, but also forming relationships with parents and understanding the difficulties and emotions they may encounter on returning to work.
My Experience
I worked as a live in nanny for 3 years for a professional couple having sole charge of their 2 children , looking after them on a day to day basis.
I’ve also worked as a care worker.
Working in the local community as a carer looking after elderly as well as adults and children with special needs.

Joanne has been amazing for our family. As a busy family it's tricky to get everything done and everyone everywhere. She is that person you want around your kids
Joanne is amazing with our twins (10.5) and has been fantastic with the support she's providing to us with our child with additional needs. She has slotted into our family and is fantastic to be around.

She made me lose my job after failing to show up on several occasions. And the annoying part is she gave a notice of not coming in few minutes to the arranged shift. It was a new job and they told me they don’t think I can do the job with the excuses just within a week

First of all, I’d like to say I came to see you and your daughter was poorly. She was being sick all over myself and the floor you didn’t know what to do with you two year old!
This was the first time I’d ever met you and your daughter you then left her with me unpaid while you went to Tesco’s to get some medicine because you said she wouldn’t Nurofen, her temperature was ridiculously high to the point if it carried on, she probably would’ve started fitting. You couldn’t get her to take the medication I managed to get the Calpol found her and changed her washed her down and calmed her down and she kept wanting to just sit with me she didn’t want to even come to.
A couple of days after I came to pick your daughter up for 1.300m. When I arrived, none of you was dressed and ready to go anywhere. I ended up having to drop you off at work otherwise you would’ve been late!
The day after I started with flu, I think I picked up what your daughter had. I contacted you to let you know that I was not gonna be able to come because I was really poorly and have been for the last two weeks since so I did not let you down last minute I told you I wasn’t well you asked me what did I think I’d be okay The next day I said I didn’t know I would have to let you know which I did in the morning. There was nothing else I could do. I wouldn’t know how I was going to feel in the morning which you then told me you let Work now and that they had sacked you, but when I actually asked you why they had sacked you, you said because you had also had time off and you only been there 10 days you took time off yourself as well as for your little girl..
This really saddens me that you have put this review after the fact that I actually went out of my way to help you and your daughter. it is not something I would normally do drop somebody off at work, but I did it out the goodness of my heart because I didn’t want you to lose your job. I expressed concerns of you leaving your daughter when she was so poorly with somebody that she didn’t really know, but that didn’t seem to matter to you Which I understand because you were just started a new job so I was happy to care for your daughter and give her the love and care that she needed while she was poorly. Hence why I started with it myself I never comment and make bad reviews about anybody, but I am just trying to explain what actually happened the real reason, not your version of it . (Your daughter does not speak at all. You did tell me that social services had concerns of this, but you said she did speak? she doesn’t speak she didn’t speak at all. (She doesn’t speak any English either)
Me and my partner have been using Joanne as an evening/night sitter for our son for nearly a year now. Joanne is very professional and reliable. Isaac loves her, she is very friendly and easy to talk to makes him feel very comfortable around her. I can not recommend her enough. One of the best sitters I have used and will continue to use. Lastly we are always last minute to find someone and usually it’s for the same evening and Joanne never fails to respond either way if she’s available or not, and in most cases it is a yes.
