About Me

Hello, I am female, 33, university educated and have 15 years experience supporting children and vulnerable adults from all different backgrounds.

I am kind, caring and patient. I am honest, reliable and passionate about providing the best possible childcare, that is specifically tailored to your child, that I can.

I have a current enhanced (clean) DBS. I have a clean driving license and own car. Over the past 15 years I have undergone a lot of different training courses (for more information feel free to ask). I have completed an adult and paediatric emergency first course. I have lots of experience supporting people with disabilities (physical, social, emotional). I pride myself on being resourceful.

I believe in generously praising/encouraging children when supporting them. I believe role modelling behaviour (being a positive role model) to be one of the most effective techniques. I feel that focusing on positive behaviour not only increases a child’s confidence but their self-worth and self-esteem as well. I understand the importance of structure, routine and stability in a child’s development.

I am more than happy to help with household duties and I love to cook/bake. I have undergone food hygiene training.

I always try to go the extra mile and out my heart and soul into what I do. I feel this is reflected in the relationships I’ve built. I am passionate about music and education; in the past I have tutored children in singing and basic music theory (as well as the typical school subjects). I am confident supporting children with complex needs, ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
