About Me

I am 24 years old and live in Edwardstone, Suffolk. I love being outside and walking the family dogs. I also have passion for art and cooking. I am a very active person who loves going to yoga, Pilates and the gym.

My Experience

In 2019, I graduated with a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies degree, gaining a first-class honours classification. Previously, in 2018, I completed an FdA degree in Early Years Practice, graduating with a distinction.

I consider myself to be a people person, I enjoy problem solving and try to adopt a can-do attitude to life. I would very much like the opportunity to work as a nanny. I believe that the skill set and knowledge I have acquired to date is transferable to the role as a nanny and/or childcare professional. Studying Psychology during my A Levels and throughout my higher education studies has given me a solid psychological base and has enabled me to become more analytical and scientific in my daily practice as a nanny. Psychology is a subject that I find fascinating, especially the areas related to child development, such as ‘attachment theory’. Children’s emergent language is another area of interest. Language and literacy skills are crucial to a child’s success in the future.

Through my studies, working at my placements and working as a nanny for several years, I have become increasingly aware of the importance of wellbeing for every child. Every child is ‘unique’, and I would like to be able to help your child fulfil their potential whatever their needs may be. I would relish the opportunity to gain wider experience and knowledge.

I am dyslexic and know the value of problem solving to achieve my own goals. Creativity is also particularly important to me, and I believe that my artistic skills and imagination, combined with my ability to problem solve are valuable assets as a nanny and childcare professional. All people are individuals and therefore an approach to each child’s learning and development should be on an individual basis, so a degree of originality is required which suits my skill set.

Finally, I love to learn, and I have discovered that no two days are the same when working with children. There will always be something new to deal with. Helping young children to grow, develop and explore the world is most rewarding. Therefore, for all the above stated reasons, I do hope that you will consider me to become a nanny with your family.
