About Me
My name is Emily and I'm a primary school teacher. Having taught in the Early Years in Manchester for three years, I have recently moved home. I am 24 years old and am looking for a position as a babysitter. I love children and have lots of experience working with them in a variety of settings, including working as a teacher and previously working at a children's art centre. I have a DBS and recent Access NI check. I would love the opportunity to help out a family seeking childcare, ensuring only the best for their children and helping them reach their potential by fulfilling a caring role with a professional attitude.
My Experience
I am a primary school teacher who has recently moved home from Manchester after teaching for 3 years. I taught in the early years and as a result I am confident and capable working with children and understand their needs as individuals and how these can be met. I am caring and nurturing in my interactions with children. My role meant I have in-depth knowledge and strong capabilities in relation to child development, safeguarding, teaching and learning, and keeping children safe, among many other skills and strengths.
I have extensive experience of working with children with SEN, including children with ASD who are non-verbal and have sensory needs.
I am happy to support with homework and would also be willing to provide some light tutoring, however this is not the main service I am offering.
I have had lots of other experience working with children in a variety of settings and situations. I worked for several years in a children's arts centre. Before that I was a volunteer at a children's drama group working with children from ages 3 to 11; this was an experience that I absolutely loved. E I am a former member of the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young people (NICCY) youth panel, so I have good knowledge of the human rights of children and how these can be applied and upheld in day to day life.
My Qualifications
BA(Hons) Primary Education with QTS. A-Level: English Literature - A*, Sociology - A, R.E. - A. I have 9 GCSEs grades A*-A.
