My Experience

My name is Bridie and I am an enthusiastic, dedicated and professional individual. I have been a nanny for 9 years, and I’ve looked after children aged from 11 months up to 12 years old. I am an Ofsted registered nanny with a full paediatric first aid qualification. I have a full drivers license.

I have a passion for childcare and excited to share my wealth of experience with a new family. I am a firm believer of the Montessori method; I find it so important to encourage children to be their own person. I think it is essential for children to socialise with other children and I am very lucky to have a wide circle of nanny colleagues that I meet up with on a regular basis. 

I also love taking the children to playgroups, swimming pools, playgrounds, soft plays and other facilities that encourage social interaction, education and new experiences. I believe in the importance getting out and about, and love doing lots of outdoor activities such as woodland walks and park visits.

I absolutely love cooking so always more than happy to prepare/cook healthy, balanced and child friendly meals for the family. I also love to bake and feel like it’s a great activity to get the children involved in.

From potty training to swimming lessons, homework to cooking, I don’t shy away from any task. I pride myself on my organisational skills, my professionalism, my patience and my composure.

I’m looking for a new family that are in need of a sole care nanny, I prefer for parents to work out of the home as it can be confusing for the children if mum and dad are around when I’m the care provider, but I understand that since lockdown, working from home has become the norm.

I will be finishing with one of my families in September 2024 as the children are growing up and moving on so I will be looking for a position for Tuesdays and Thursdays.

My Qualifications

English, PE, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Catering, Drama and Business. All at grade A-D
Media Extended Diploma including photography, filming and web design. Passed with three distinctions

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
