Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a kind, dependable, patient, and creative individual. During term time, I work as a Teaching Assistant in the Pre-Prep department at a local at Prep School. I’m currently available to provide childcare during weekends and school holidays.
I have experience of working with and caring for children ranging in age from 1 month - 13 years, in home, early years, and school settings (this includes sole charge and shared care).
* I do not drive, so you would need to be located within walking distance (Central Truro) or close to local transport links e.g. bus stop, train station.
My Experience
I have experience working with, and caring for children aged 1 month - 13 years old, in both professional and home settings. I have experienced working as a ‘Nursery Nurse’, ‘Nanny’, a ‘Teaching Assistant’. This includes children with varying SEND.
My Qualifications
I hold the following qualifications/certificates:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Diploma (achieved in January, 2021)
- Autism Awareness Diploma
BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (achieved in July, 2017)
- GCSEs, including Child Development (B)
- ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) Certificate (Distinction*)
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Causes and speed of infection Certificate
- Read Write Inc (RWI) Training
I can provide evidence/details of the above qualifications and certificates upon request.
I’m also in the process of completing the following:
- Complete SEND Diploma (Level 1,2,3&4)
- ADHD Awareness Diploma
- Dyslexia Diploma
I’m always looking to continue my personal and professional development, therefore I’m happy to complete any specific courses/qualifications if desired.
