Hi parents!
My name is Aimée and I am looking to join a family in their day to day life. I'm offering a range of support from full time day care to part time nannying and evening babysitting. I am comfortable and experienced in working with children of all ages, small children and babies included. I am looking for a local family based around the north west London area, Finchley, Highgate, Hampstead, Camden area. Though this is flexible and I am happy to travel within reasonable distance.
I am a well mannered, responsible and fun nanny. I approach every child I work with, with compassion and an open heart. I love to use my creativity in play and find it to be a really useful tool in getting to know a child and befriending them. I am comfortable with a range of tasks from cooking and preparing meals for children, light housework, taking them out to the park or other activity places, bath time and bed time etc. Additionally, I am very happy to help around the house if the parents are home just need an extra hand with smaller children.
Secondary to my experience working in a childcare setting, I have spent many years focused on youth and community engagement in the arts. I have worked on several large scale projects including producing my own music and arts festival and other creative events across the south west cost. I have a keen interest in arts therapies and building community through creative practices.
Please note I am currently working four afternoons a week with a family and am only available in the morning for school drop off and morning help.

My Experience
Sept 2022- Present: Currently working with a family as an afternoon nanny with a seven year old girl and 11 year old boy.
Feb 2021- April 2022: Full time teacher at alternative provision school supporting vulnerable young people in accessing their education. One to one teaching, needs based learning approach and considered unique care plans for each child I worked with.
Nov 2019- Feb 2021: Long term nanny for a 5-6 year old boy in South London. Regular duties were school pick ups, homework, dinner and bedtime, with additional full time school holiday childcare and ad hoc evening babysitting. Due to the covid outbreak I began to work full time with the family taking sole charge of the child 9-5 Monday to Friday. Tasked with completing the daily homeschool program, as well as general activities and supervision throughout the day. With both parents working full time at home I was responsible to create all his daily activities, general care and focus on development during the challenging lockdown period. I can provide a reference for this family.
Jan 2019- Jan 2021: Lead volunteer coordinator at a charity group for vulnerable young women and mothers fleeing violence called The Happy Baby Community. My roles include, befriending the mothers, initiating group activity, creative and messy play, lots of story time and offering affection creating a warm and safe environment for the families that use the service. Our children are aged 0-5 and through this experience I have really become enamoured by working with smaller children. I additionally gained a DBS and full safeguarding training with the charity.
May 2019-July 2019: Short term nanny for 7 year old boy responsible for school pick ups, homework, playtime, dinner/bath and bed time, with additional ad hoc babysitting.
Jan 2012- Aug 2012: Part time nanny and regular babysitting for local family. Three children including a toddler and 6 month old baby. Responsibilities included: sole charge of toddler and baby throughout the day with nursery drop off and pick up, light housework and cooking for the children. Regular evening and holiday cover as well.
2011-2014: Noam Masorti Youth Leader. Became a senior youth leader tasking with running and coordinating residential summer camps for local Jewish youth movement. Skilled in team leadership and management, organisation and confident in working with a range of ages and in fast paced, challenging environments. Able to work creatively developing programmes and activities focused on education, arts and personal development.
