About Me

** Full time space available from Easter 2024- Term time only.**

I have been childminding now for 6 years, since changing career after having my son. Before I had my son I was a High School teacher of Food Technology. I love teaching. I enjoy planning and making learning fun and (hopefully) memorable. Luckily I get to to this every day still, just for a younger audience.

My knowledge for childminding has grown extensively over the last few years and I have found undertaking DfE mentoring and a L2 Understanding Autism course this year particularly useful in understand the children I look after better while encouraging each of my mindees to achieve.

I haven't had to advertise my services for many years now, as younger siblings and recommendations have led me to fill all my spaces.

I would like to believe I offer a safe and caring environment at my home, where children can grow, develop and feel happy and confident. Within my setting I ensure children have time to play, be creative, explore sensory trays/ objects, explore outdoor areas and everythibg within it, engage in reading, singing and group time. Younger children have opportunities to nap while older children have the chance to cook/bake, play games, write, craft and begin learning numbers and phonics In preparation for nursery/ school.

My location is Marsh Farm/Bramingham boarders, where I live with my husband and son who is 7. I undertake a daily school run to Bramingham Primary School.
