About Me
I believe that every child is unique and I enjoy getting to know them as individual little people, I work hard to establish relationships with children and their families. I have working experience and knowledge of the needs of children with special educational needs, disabilities and English as an additional language.
I have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for working with children; managers and Ofsted have commended me on my skills with babies and young children. I understand the importance of promoting children’s development in any child-care environment and have experience of doing this according to the child's age, needs and abilities within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
I am very patient and deal positively and assertively with children’s behaviour, understanding this as part of their learning and development of a positive emotional well being. I have a good sense of humour and appreciate the anecdotes and insights that children exhibit and communicate throughout the day.
I am reliable, hard working, and a collaborative team-worker who responds positively to guidance and instruction from supervisors. I use my initiative and spontaneity to react appropriately to different situations and create a happy environment for the children in my care. Using my creativity i am able to plan and lead fun and exciting activities whilst being aware of the social, emotional, developmental and educational needs of children.

My Experience
Babysitting: June 2009-present;
I look after children in their home whilst parents are out, both during the day and over night. I follow the children's daily and bedtime routines, including outings to local events and parks, meeting their needs whilst following parents’ instructions. I have also helped at children’s parties and other events by face painting.

I had the pleasure of meeting Abby for the first time yesterday evening. She was punctual, friendly, reliable and flexible (I had a later start and later finish and she was fine with both which really helped me). I have no hesitation in recommending her for her babysitting services and I will be using her again myself in the future. She put my mind at rest before and during my night out. Her rates are more than reasonable. She has a lovely demeanour. She is also DBS cleared (I can verify having seen the documents). My children (9 and 6, the younger on the spectrum so anxiety issues) were both happy with Abby being there and comfortable in the knowledge they were in safe hands.
