About Me
I’ve been a childminder for 17yrs. Ofsted Outstanding grade four times. I live with my husband & our three children aged 18, 17 & 12yrs.
We are a Hygge in the Early Years Accredited Setting. Which is a Danish approach to living & learning. Home from home setting, adopting a very outdoor nature based approach. My setting is very calming & cosy with lots of natural resources. We are also curiosity approach inspired using natural objects & loose parts, daily objects in our play to inspire curiosity, owe and wonder.
We spend lots of time exploring the outdoors each day, being at one with nature, helping our environment & learning from it. For those children aged 0-5yrs I will be following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines to help children in my care reach their full potential, which is the same guidelines set for nurseries and preschools. I offer settling in sessions to all children so parents, child and myself can get to know each other before they officially start. I will get to know all the children as individuals so that I can provide the resources and opportunities for them to flourish. Gently encouraging children to choose their own path of learning through play. I also believe that it is important to work in partnership with you as parents/carers as you know your child the best and are the vital part of your child's development. I am also able to provide the 15 & 30hrs weekly government funding for children age 9mths to 4yrs.
I attend local homestart groups such as tots & forest school. I also provide forest & beach school activities for all children. We spend lots of time at the beach & love rockpooling & combing the beach for treasures. We also spend time in woodlands & visit the park regularly aswell.
We have a friendly 6yr old cockapoo called Hunter. Ten Guinea pigs who are very tame & the children love to help look after them in our large outdoor enclosure. An African Grey Parrot Poppy who loves to talk & a few tropical fish.
All children are involved in growing fruits & vegetables in our garden.
I have policies & procedures in place for my business as well as many parent references which are available for you to see.
I have childminding insurance & also use my own car for days out which I have business insurance for.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 17yrs & I have cared for many children of all different ages. Some with learning disabilities, allergies, medical needs & special diets. I have cared for babies of just a few weeks old upto 13yrs old part & full time. As well as being a mum to my own three children.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Currently charge £7 per hour which includes snacks/drinks.
Fresh homecooked meals available for a small charge
