Hello parents, my name's Lucie,
I am very much a children person and love what I do with passion. I made my decision to work in childcare when I started babysitting as a young teenager. It quickly became clear that I had an affinity with children. The feedback and recommendations from families confirmed this and my relationship with the children I worked with progressed to a professional nanny career.
I find working with children not only extremely rewarding but great fun.
I am a responsible and enthusiastic person with a happy and fun outlook.
I am organised with good time management skills and have a fair and positive approach to discipline, encouraging well-mannered behaviour.
I have an easy going attitude making it possible to work alongside individual families and their specific requirements.
I am calm and unflappable under pressure and have worked with many families with multiple children.
I offer a happy, safe and secure environment for all children in my care and above all I am kind, patient, nurturing and loving.
I live in Marlow with my husband and 2 children who are sometimes around during school holidays. They are 3 and 5
I am Registered and vetted by various nanny agencies in Buckinghamshire and London.
My Experience
My childcare experience spans over 20 years working as a dedicated nanny in people's homes. Being a nanny is all I know and all I've ever wanted to do. I've worked around the home counties, London and Europe and no job is too big or too small for me when it comes to caring for children.
I have extensive experience caring for newborns and over the years I have cared for many toddlers and school age children and apply my skill set to each child accordingly, dependant on their age and personality.
From my years of experience I understand that every child is very different and no two families are the same. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of people over the years from different backgrounds which has furthered my understanding of children and given me the opportunity to learn and adapt to different parenting styles.
I have cared for twins in the past, children with special needs and have also worked in private nurseries and crèches. I have weaned babies and potty trained lots of under 3's.
I have worked with children with strict food allergies and dietary requirements and I have a good knowledge and understanding of children's health and nutrition.
I hold many great references from parents I still remain close to and who are more than willing to speak to potential new families.

Lucie has been babysitting for us since October 2016 and I can not recommend her enough.
Lucie has a natural caring nature and our two boys (aged 5 and 11) love spending time with her.
She is very reliable, punctual, caring and great fun - our boys jump for joy when they know Lucie is babysitting - we are lucky to have found Lucie and look forward to seeing a lot more of her :)

Lucie has been working for us for just over a year and I don't have a negative word to say about her. She originally took care of my youngest son 1 day per week starting when he was 3 months but now looks after both my sons (3years & 15mos) 1 day per week. Lucie is very reliable, honest and hardworking. She is always punctual and ensures she does a full handover before leaving. Both my boys adore her and she is a complete natural with them. Being local to the area, she is confident driving (and is insured on our vehicle) and knows about all the local playgroups and soft-play sessions. She is happy to cook for the boys and always leaves the house as tidy (or tidier!) than she found it. She is extremely flexible and often does evening babysitting for us as well. I really have only positive things to say about Lucie and any family she works for would be incredibly lucky to have her.

Lucie has been outstanding for us. She engaged with our two children (age 2 and 5) like no body else and this was clearly as much her warmth and personality as well as years of training and experience.
Lucie showed a great interest in our routines which she quickly adopted in order to provide consistency for our children as well as showing enormous interest in them as little people.
She played with them, fed them and bathed them and during that time, made special consideration for our sons allergies and our daughters fear or strangers.
Lucie is now a regular part of our childcare plans and has grown into a friend.

We've had Lucie take care of our 3 month old child during the evening. She connected very well with the baby. She was very professional and we were very reassured to leave the baby with her.
We will certainly be hiring Lucie again in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic babysitter.

What we'd do without her? Since meeting Lucie she has helped us out, whenever she can, sometimes at a moments notice and we can't be more grateful for all she does for us as a family. Lucie continues to give many tips and advice on child related issues which are of inestimable worth and always work. We are first time parents and our son is now 16 months old. When a friend recommended Lucie to help us with sleep training, she was worth her wait in gold and has been of enormous help. Our son took to her immediately and we feel very blessed to have come across her. Book this lady for whatever childcare needs you have. She is simply amazing!
