About Us
We are a homely nursery and Forrest School in Talke, with spaces only for 6 babies and 10 toddlers. As a smaller setting with less children, we find that our children and families benefit from a more personal approach and that we are able to help prepare our children for school in a group setting, whist providing a homely and nurturing environment.
We have a high staff to child ratio to ensure that our staff spend more time with our children forming strong bonds and working closely in partnership with our families so that we can provide the best possible individual care for our children and to encourage them to learn, explore, have fun and reach their full potential.
We have designed our facilities to inspire children to have fun and enjoy learning. We have lots of unique facilities including our sensory room, which is one of the only sensory rooms in the area, indoor secret reading garden, Forrest School, Sensory Garden, role play village and much more to explore.
We have recently been award a five star certificate of excellence by Childcare.co.uk as recommended by local families and we have been awarded plastic free nursery status. In our recent parent questionnaire feedback, 100% of families agreed that they are happy at Hilltop Tots and that their child is happy at Hilltop Tots and supported to reach their full potential.
Hilltop Tots Day Nursery in Talke, Stoke-on-Trent is easily accessed via Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove, Alsager, Chesterton, and surrounding areas due to our location next to the A500 by Freeport Talke.
We accept 2, 3 and 4 year funding and tax free child care and if you are not sure how to apply for this or if you are eligible we would be happy to help you with this.

Our Fees
- Childcare from £23.00 per morning
- Childcare from £21.00 per afternoon
- Childcare from £30.00 per day
All our fees include all meals, drinks and snacks.
They also include Baby Beats, Jenny's Dance school, Milena Espsnyol and forest school lessons

Would 100% recommend hilltop tots to everybody. I was extremely worried about sending my daughter to nursery but Grace was absolutely brilliant and understanding of my worries and put me at ease.
My daughter adores going to nursery and very often doesn't want to leave when I pick her up. She has the biggest smile on her face for whoever opens the door to her in the mornings.
I have no worries taking her to nursery as I know she is in the care of beautiful people who she loves.
I'm so glad I found this nursery and wouldn't want her to go anywhere else.

Hilltops is the best Nursery in town, i 100% recommend to anybody looking for a nursery for their children. All the staff are absolutely beautiful people, they are so welcoming, kind and friendly. I am so happy that my twin boys attend here, they adapted well to Nursery life and the staff made it easier for my own worries ensuring me they were safe and well. My boys have come on so so much since they started, they have learnt so much and their curriculum & guidance is excellent. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. Grace is wonderful and should be so proud of her team and the wonderful work they do. They treat my children like their own and it is lovely to see how much my boys love going. The nursery is the perfect setting and has an outside area for the children to run around whatever the weather conditions.

My son has been attending the Nursery for around 3 months now and I’m amazed with how far he has already come along. Previously he wouldn’t like leaving my side and would struggle with separation anxiety if I had to leave him even with family members. After 4 settling in sessions he was happy to attend the nursery on his own which is a miracle. Sometimes he still gets abit emotional at the door but all the nursery staff are friendly and willing to take their time welcoming him in on his off days. I’ve noticed his speech is developing quicker and he is even sleeping better in the evenings after all the adventures at nursery during the day! As soon as I pick him up he will be telling me lots of things that he has been up to in the day. His current favourite is messy play! Thank you to everyone at Hilltop Tots for taking the time to welcome him and for putting my mind at ease.

Hilltop Tots is like a second home for our Son. He walks in every day with a smile on his face and is still smiling when we collect him at the end of the day. The nursery is like it’s own little family - small, loving and caring! The staff are extremely friendly, accommodating and understanding, we wouldn’t want our Son anywhere else!

When our daughter started at Hilltop’s we were really nervous, after being in lockdown for so long and only really knowing mummy and daddy. Grace at Hilltops was friendly abs understanding of our concerns. She allowed our daughter to have settling in sessions to ensure that she knew the nursery and the staff and felt comfortable with us leaving her there. The updates we get regarding the care of her help to ease my concerns and the photos of her settled. Olivia sees nursery as another home, she has settled in well, loves Grace and the team and never stops talking about them when at home. She loves going to nursery and it has been a joy to send her to Hilltops, I couldn’t have found a better place to send her.
