I consider myself a dedicated Tutor who takes and has a genuine interest in the development of the children I work with. My ethos of learning are to develop, enhance and encourage learning so that your child will then not only develop but also have a thirst for it.
My Experience
My experience was gained from Independent, State, Montessori nurseries and schools in Singapore, Cyprus and the UK.
Preschool to Primary. I work in interventions, gaps in learning and children with special educational needs.
My Qualifications
AWARDED CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE 2021 from Childcare.co.uk
I am a fully qualified and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant; having worked in the capacities of Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, and Interventions. As a Tutor I am able to bring all these elements of teaching to my sessions where required and tailor the sessions to the individual to meet their learning needs/requirements.
My Availability
Please make contact to arrange sessions; most schools will allow for a child to attend sessions during normal school hours on the proviso that sessions provide what the school cannot or has yet to provide, this is something you would need to confirm with the school your child attends. Help your child either reach their full potential or make up the gaps that cannot be addressed in a fully subscribed classroom.

We have been having lessons with Valda for 3 months. Our 6 year old was struggling with gaps in his learning due to missing so much school. He also severely struggled with concentration. Valda quickly identified what needed work and advised us how we can assist him at home. The lessons are tailored according to his interests and therefore fun and it doesn’t feel like a chore. We have noticed big improvements in his writing and his concentration levels are much better. He looks forward to his lessons and always comes home with a smile. I would recommend Valda to anyone who feels their child needs a boost or just some help with confidence.

A friend recommended Valda and I am happy to share that I would recommend her services to others. She tailored the sessions for our child whose 7 and is genuinely interested in his development. He enjoys the lessons as well and has improved so much.

Knowing what I am doing is working for your son and you acknowledging that in this way, well I really appreciate it thank you so much.
My daughter (age 6) has had a few 1:1 tuition sessions (pre lockdown) and I have been most impressed.
Valda has excellent experience and knowledge. She was able to identify my daughter’s gaps in her learning and proactively planned the lessons to meet her needs.
Above all my daughter is enthusiastic and does not mind having extra lessons and in the short time started to gain some confidence. I am really looking forward to see how she will progress in 2021. Thank you Valda!
