About Me
Hi, my name is Liz Hodge, I am a self employed nanny, degree level with my own insurance, 7 seater family car with most stage seats and pushchairs.
I am reliable, logical, trustworthy and make good use of my common sense. Over the years of working with children, I have learnt to quickly get to know and understand the individual ways of different children and create a good rapor with both the children and the parent/s.
I enjoy watching children develop and grow and have experience with the Early Years Foundation Stages. I have traveled all over the world and love trying out new things, socialising and generally having fun.
I thoughly enjoy childrens company and love to teach them new things and see them learning and thriving in life.
I am a driver and have my own car (7 seater) and I have my own child seats to suit most ages.
I currently have an up to date 'portpolio' showing all my experience and including some references.
I have always enjoyed the weaning and potty training stages and over time have learnt lots of different techniques and ideas to help make these stages smoother and a happier time for the child and parent alike.
I have always attended lots of different playgroups, soft play, and other various groups (with children I have cared for as well as my own son) which I would be happy to take another child/children along to as I am a strong believer in allowing children to socialise and experience things independently and at a rate correct for the individual child.
I am married and a mother to my 11 year old son and twin 15 month old toddlers. I am a happy, energetic, sociable, kind, friendly and active nanny. I love the outdoors, animals, cooking and talking.
I love horses, watching my husband and my son play rugby, days out, walking, exploring, swimming and so many other hobbies and activities.
I am happy to help out with any animals within the family home. I have 2 ponies, a dog and cat so happy to help where I can.
My Experience
I have previously worked in a large private Day care nursery for over six years. I have worked as a nanny for different families for over 15 years with a range of ages ranging from birth to 14 years.
I have wokered as an Ad Hoc nanny, sole charge nanny, a nanny abroad, mothers help and have done holiday care and emergency Nanny cover. I have worked a lot with families with twins and have experience working with children with extra needs and disabilities.
I have experience with multiples, large families and special needs.
I have written references and current and previous employers that are happy to arrange a phone call or email.
I am first aid trained, Ofsted register and safe sleep trained.

Liz was great with our twins! Really helpful and helped us get organised! She knew what to do and just did a great job with getting on with things! Our son is disabled and Liz always made sure he was safe and helped and supported him when he needed it!
I would highly recommended Liz, really friendly, supportive and helpful!

Liz is the only nanny/babysitter that we use and the children absolutely love having her here. It's great to be able to leave the house without worrying as I know they're in such good hands. One of my daughters has additional needs so I'm quite fussy but I needn't worry as Liz is brilliant with her. Would recommend Liz to anyone looking for childcare - she always tries to help if she can.

Overall
Liz has been caring for my children for 6 months. I have 6, 4, and 20 month old twins. She can handle any situation and make it fun in the meantime. The babies adore her as do my older kids. She can engage with the older kids while tending to the babies better than I can sometimes. Kids are always happy and calm and somehow she manages to tidy up at the same time!
She’s a lovely person and we have become great friends. She is Dependable and honest. We’ve loved having her in our home.
