My Summary

My Experience

I have been a nanny uninterruptedly for three years now, having gotten my first short-term position in the summer of 2016. I started working for a family with a four years old girl, which lasted four months. I then restarted my position a year after when they needed help with their second child as well. Being my first childcare role, this was a valuable experience as not only I realized how fulfilling this job was, but I also gained more experience with babies and young children.

When I started university, in 2018, I became part of Freckles Childcare. The company guided me towards getting the right qualifications/certifications required for becoming a professional nanny. Shortly after completing all my documentation, I started my first long-term role. The family had a 7 years old girl and an 11 years old boy at the time and needed help with the morning school run. I also did afternoon school pick-up once a week.

In March 2019, I also obtained a role working for a family with a 6-month-old baby, this being a sole charge where I was needed for longer shifts (10-12 hours). Due to my university course becoming more intense, I had to terminate my role after approximately 8 months.

From 2018 to 2020, alongside my part-time school drop-off role, I did occasional ad-hoc childcare, looking after children between the ages of 3 months and 11 years old.

In July 2020 I started working for a family with a 6 months old baby boy, a position that continues until the present (on an agreement-free/casual basis). I have great relationships with all the families, still keeping in touch with a few.

In July 2021 I participated at Camp Bestival with Freckles Childcare, as a festival nanny. I currently offer childcare and babysitting services on an irregular basis, while I find a suitable full-time role.

Working with various families throughout the years, I improved my communication and adaptation skills significantly, now being able to easily tailor my service to the family`s individual needs. I always love to challenge myself, and I try to share this concept with every child I look after, encouraging them to try new things. This will contribute to building their confidence and overall self-awareness. My ultimate mission is, therefore, to take over from where the parents left off, and to add a bit of learning and caring to their child`s education and growing every day.

My Availability

I am available to work Monday to Friday, with a shift end time no later than 5 pm preferably. However, I am generally quite flexible and therefore happy to work around your family`s needs.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)
