About Me
Hi, my name is Imogen, I am 25 years old. I began babysitting at the age of 16 for friends and family. Which progressed into nannying. I have now been professionally nanny for the past 7 years. I have cared for many children of all ages and worked for many families in need of childcare. I am now registered as a self employed private nanny.
My Experience
I have volunteered in a primary school for 2 years while I completed my teaching assistant course, gaining experience in looking after children 4 - 11 years old, mainly working one to one with children who have learning difficulties. I have also volunteered in a nursery where I gained experience in caring for babies and toddlers age 6 weeks - 4 years. As well as volunteering, over the past six years I have been providing childcare to children from birth - 11 years old. My duties include, picking children up from school, observing and interacting with play time, providing meals, helping with homework, taking children to extra curricular activities and putting the children/baby to bed. I enjoy taking the children out to outdoor activities and taking the babies to play groups. I am also willing to do light house work such as children’s washing, tidying toys away, hoovering and doing dishes. I have looked after many children with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, learning delays, developmental delays and children with hearing loss. My younger sister and younger brother both have Autism, due to this I have a good understanding of Autism and I am able to help others who have the disorder as I have helped them over the years.
Recent experience working with newborns and taking care of three children under 5, working solo and providing joint care for the children with the children’s mother.
I am willing to accompany a family on holiday to help with childcare as I have in the past. Extra babysitting is always an option to add on as and when required. I have also a lot of experience caring for babies during the night to let the parents catch up on much needed sleep. I’m currently looking for a permanent position and preferably long term ideally 25-35 hours a week.
