About Me
Hello, I'm Megan. I am 24 years old and graduated from University in July 2020. Following graduation, I decided I wanted to become a primary school teacher (starting September 2022) but in the meantime wanted to nanny as I knew I would love spending my time with children.
I have loved this year training to be a teacher and am now looking for work from July 1st - end of August before going back to school in September.
I had the incredible opportunity of working with my first ever full time family, (previously only a part-time child carer).
This family accepted me into theirs and gave me an incredible experience into the world of nannying. After 18 lovely months with them (moving to part time), I have learnt so much from the three children I cared for aged 6, 4, and newborn. I also worked with another family alongside this with an 8 year old and 1 year old.
I am living in Newquay and have my own car so am easily accessible.
I am a competitive athlete and have a lot of energy, which is especially handy when working with kids. I have worked alongside children of all ages on and off from the age of 15.
My time nannying also fell amongst the time period of homeschooling due to lockdown so my experience with home learning with primary aged children comes as value too.

My Experience
Having childcare jobs on and off from the age of 15, I have experience with toddlers and playgroups. As well as after school care for older children, including homework etc.
Most recently the full time family I work for had kids aged 6, 4 and newborn. This gave me a huge variety of experiences and how to assist each little mind in their own beneficial way.
I have childcare qualifications in:
- Prevent Duty
- Female Genital Mutilation Awareness
- Mental Health and Well-being in children and young people
- NSPCC child protection
- Qualified Teacher Status (pending July 2023)
- DBS

Level 2 childcare qualifications listed above. BA Honors in Acting with the intention to further this to get my masters in Drama therapy.
