I'm Vera, a OFSTED registered childminder, I am also a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) I live in Handsworth Birmingham. I have over 16 years experience of working with children from birth onwards, as a qualified Nursery Nurse and have been working as a Nursery manager since 2009. I have 2 children of my own aged 17 and 20.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Honour Degree in Early Years and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Social Care, also a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
My premises is equipped with smoke alarms, fire blankets and stair safety gates, I offer a happy, warm, loving, secure and stimulating Home from Home environment with lots of educative activities. I am committed to delivering the Early Years Education to all children under the age of 5, giving them the life skills, firm foundation of knowledge, and social skills that they need to prepare them for school.
This includes planning for learning experiences based on their needs and interest; I also aim to provide quality wrap-around care for school aged children, ensuring that they arrive at school on time in the morning and are collected and cared for until their parents return from work.
I have created a home educational setting, in which children learn through playing and exploring how to be independent, how to manage their feelings and develop skills in all areas of their development. After school Children get to wind down with; crafts, technology, board games, free play, fun & educational quizzes and games to compliment any homework and time to relax with friends until their mum or dad get back from work.
I attend local playgroups,childminding groups, parks, play center and libraries with the children.
I offer the 15/30 hours of free childcare to eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Childcare Vouchers and Tax free childcare are also accepted.
My Experience
I have over 17 years experiences of working with children from birth onward, over the years I have worked as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Nursery staff and Nursery Nurse. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in several Primary Schools.
I am also one of my local church, children coordinators.

I am someone who don’t usually want to leave my kids with anyone not even my mum and my best friend so it was very hard at first to leave my daughter with a childminder but she has really prove me wrong, she is caring, compassionate and professional .The impression I had is not true. She is truly very kind and understanding us well. My daughter don’t want to come to me anymore but she wants to stay with her all the time, my daughter can read some words and can write her name now and she is just 3. I have been with her more than 2 years with no issues or problems. I am pleased with her and thank you for taking good care of my daughter, I couldn’t continue my university without you.

I had been struggling with my son and his behaviour at school and home... I had to get back to work after a bad year... Vera helped my son with his behaviour and his overall attitude to myself and others in his life.
Vera is patient, kind, helpful and supportive... I am so grateful for the help she has given me and my son

my children use to go vera while I am working. I feel very confident with vera as she so loyal with
