About Me
Hi, my names Ann and I’m a Ofsted registered Childminder in The Sands, Ashington. I live with my partner and our 3 children; 20, 7 and 4 years in a semi-detached house with a large garden. I encourage outdoor play and involvement with the garden and vegetable patch. I am a member of Fishers Farm and the National Trust, much to everyone’s delight we make regular trips there as well as forest walks, the beach and local parks.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience of working with children and young people. I have been a Mother for 12 years, a teacher both in the uk and abroad for roughly 10 years, a Child Minder for 3 years. I have also spent a number of years working in Mental Health with adults and young people. Having previously juggled work and child care I appreciate just how important a high quality, reliable yet flexible child minder is for the well being of the whole family. Your child will be welcomed into our happy, family home and will thrive here.
My Qualifications
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare.
Paediatric First Aid
QTS - Qualified Teacher Status
CELTA - Teaching English as a Foreign Language
PGCE - Modern Foreign Languages
BA (hons) Development Studies & Spanish
