About Me
Hello my name is Janis I am 33 years old and mother of two a 11 year old pre teen and soon to be 5 year old avid Minecraft player.
Please note I am not a driver as yet, however I am learning to drive. But I am capable of commuting via public transport and the use of Uber, I also have a good connection to Windsor, surrounding towns near Maidenhead and Bracknell.
I am very funny, well so i have been told by my 11 year old due to the fact that I make her laugh a lot. Well at least I think that but I’m guessing mostly she is laughing “at Me”and not “with Me”. I previously worked in Customer Services and Administrative support so I am accustomed to a structured environment. I enjoy cooking and baking, meditating on scriptures, exploring and discovering new places, outside play and adventures with my children, drawing, painting reading and dancing.
If there’s anything you like to know about me I am an open book and would be welcome to sharing over a warm brew.
I became a new mom for the second time in 2018 and I can’t think why I waited so long it was nice to be able to nurture a new born again knowing all the things I learnt from the experience with my first child it seemed a lot easier, truly another blessed experience. He is now embarking on 5 and every moment has been lovely and informative to a degree second children are really the biggest test and I am grateful for the experience.
Being a mother is an added advantage as I would be a great candidate to consider because I am already in the process of raising my two children I know the needs and requirements for your little ones would not be the same but would be similar. I am an organised multitasker I believe in routine and I believe if followed correctly can make life a little easier to get through. My motto is is FUN ..... Fairness•Understanding•Nurturing. FAIRNESS for everyone child and adult leads to a better UNDERSTANDING and when we understand each other we are able to express our selves better which leads us to NURTURING our emotions, strengths and dreams (gifts, talents and goals).
I am very good at following specific instructions so if you have special requirements that is not a problem for me.

My Experience
I am a mother have been for 11 years my youngest is about to turn 5 this year.
I babysit regularly for couples (who have now become very good friends) whilst they get a bit of date night bonding and bliss.
I am currently doing school pickups from Homer First, Dedworth and Hilltop Primary.
Childcare setting is my home at the moment please feel free to book a day to come round and view my home.
Babysitting experience 18+ years (started when I was 15)
I was a childminder from 2014 - 2015 I then switched to office work as my oldest child had started reception.
I have 2 years experience with school pickups I used to pick up from St Luke’s in Maidenhead. I’ve since relocated to Dedworth.
I am currently studying Health & Social Care. I am familiar with EYFS, Safeguarding, I am learning Spanish, I speak basic French and I am fluent in English as it is my first language.
Please refer below for a guideline of duties and activities I can offer.
Activities: within my setting
• expression through drawing, creative art and painting.
• nature walks and discuss what we have found and what we saw
• play time I have a playground round the corner from my house ideal for get little legs active.
• I can provide meals please specify any allergies and dietary requirements or feel free to provide your little ones preferred meal.
• older children 5-10 years old I can help with homework.
Activities: within your setting (home)
• I am happy to follow any routine you have in place
• will encourage plenty of imaginative expression through drawing, costumes, role play and books of their choice.
• happy to prepare meals for the children
• happy to help with getting them settled for bed time.
• will encourage outside play
• can do school pickups
• can take them to any play dates and activities.
*please note I cannot do school drop offs due to having two of my own that I need to take to school.
*please be advised I can not do any household chores I only specialise in childcare so I can tidy up after your children, cook and clean for and after your children. If you need their rooms tidied I can do so. I can do laundry for your children. Any household chores come at an extra charge.
My Qualifications
I am also currently studying Health & Social Care Level 2
Further more will be joining a course for Social Sciences & Education
End goal is to get my degree in Behavioural Psychology.

Saturday & Sunday - 7am - (11pm) 4am (can do later please enquire a week I’m advance)
Rate: £17.50/hour (can negotiate)
• Weekend/evening babysitter - £15 an hour

We were travelling from overseas to the UK for a wedding. Nanny Jae watched our 18month old daughter for two evenings. My daughter bonded with Jae immediately. I did not have any concerns with my daughter in Jae's care. She was responsive via text, she sent photo updates, she was able to manage challenging behaviours and emotional outbursts. I wish I lived closer to Jae so I could use her services more often.

Janis is an absolute superstar. My son loves going to her after school, she is always prompt for school pick ups and keeps me updated throughout the day with pictures of their adventures to the local parks. She provides a safe, clean, warm, and most importantly fun environment and I know my son is well taken care of with her.

Janis has been helping me and my husband with my one year old twins on and off from October 2020, and we recently asked her to help us in the evening on a permanent basis. She sometimes brings her two children, which we welcome, and my boy twin is in love with Janis’s daughter so we are planning a wedding :-D She helps me feed them and change them for bed, she read books to them and sings songs, they enjoy her company. She also helps me tidy up the room and wash the children’s dishes and does it very well. I only had experience with Janis in a mother’s help role (so her helping me with the children in my presence). All in all, I thoroughly recommend Janis.
