I’m a loving and caring individual who takes time and is patient with children to understand what they want or might need as they may struggle or be overwhelmed about something. Communication is important when it comes to a child so I always like to assure them that it’s okay to feel sad and be happy. I always like to put out positive energy and vibes so the children will be able to express themselves in whatever way they want. I’m good at creating new things with arts and crafts and love it when a child pitches an idea to create something.
WHY I LOVE WORKING WITH CHILDREN?
I love working with kids because they can teach you new things that I never even knew about. I love to see them blossom into their own person alongside their personality. Seeing them grow, learning and building new skills is just a wonderful privilege to be part of and helping them understand certain things & cultures etc
My Experience
Monday to Friday 2:45pm till 6pm
In three different primary schools as an after-school playworker
Working with 3-12 year olds
My responsibilities where
• Preparing snack time/fruit & sandwiches
• Setting up tables with different activities so there’s a variety of the KS1 & KS2
• Helping them with homework or tasks they need to complete
• Helping the other colleagues, working on teamwork
• Making sure everyone’s on the register
• Ticking students in & out
• Assorting the children to reception to meet parents
• Making sure we all debrief on how the afternoon went so discussing & writing down any concerns
we had or what could be worked on etc

• PASSENGER ASSISTANT TRAINING FOR WORKING WITH VULNERABLE CHILDREN & ADULTS
