About Me
I am a registered Ofsted childminder living in Bishop’s Stortford, within easy reach of the town centre and station. I have been been graded as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted. I am also a qualified primary school teacher. After 20 years, working with children, I still love it and am constantly trying to find new and exciting activities to do with them. I have 2 adorable children of my own, a girl and a boy, both in primary school. I aim to provide a FUN, SAFE, LOVING home away from home for the children that I mind. My house is geared towards creating an environment that allows children to develop at their own speed and where they can reach their full potential, while being stimulated, creative and happy. I am trying to make there development and learning exciting in the activities we do and the places we go. We regularly visit playgroups, where they interact with other children and adults. We also visit the park, the forest, local library and soft play. We do a lot of art and craft activities, messy play, sensory play, etc.
I make sure that I communicate with parents and reassure them that there children are well looked after, lovingly cared for and most of all...HAVE FUN!!
My Experience
I have been working with children for more than 25 years and childminding for 13 years.
My Qualifications
As well as my teaching qualifications I have completed the CYPOP 5 course in home based childcare and safeguarding training. I have an enhanced CRB disclosure and also a paediatric first aid diploma.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I accept most childcare vouchers and are also registered to provide free 2- and 3 - year funding. Fees will be discussed with individual families.

Tania looked after our young Son Angus for 10 months. She was a wonderful carer, my son adored her and her family. Every day they did interesting things, from playgroups, to zoo trips to baby olympics, with lots of creative development. It is a really stimulating and caring environment for your child to be part of. As parents we were very happy with the way Tania interacted with us and kept us up to date through the day with photos and texts. If you are looking for a child minder to look after your child and want them loved and cared for as you would i couldn't recommend Tania enough.
Overall
Tania took care of our young son for four months and only stopped because we moved. We were very happy with the care she provided him. I was a new Mom returning to work, it was so nice to know my LO was in her care. She regularly took the children to the park and other fun locations. He also came home with frequent art projects. In addition, she emailed periodic photos and video of my son involved in different activities. She was excellent about keeping a daily journal letting me know what my son was up to each day. I should also mention that during this time he had some health issues and she did her best to be supportive and provided the extra necessary care without complaint. She created a lovely atmosphere for my son to thrive and grow in. We certainly miss having her watch our son.
