My Experience
As a college student, I chose to do early years which in order to achieve the qualification at the end of the academic year I have to do volunteer hours in a school or a nursery. I’m a qualified level 3 practitioner. I have a dbs which I think may be outdated however I will buy a new one if it has expired. I’m 18 years old and studied at college for 2 years aswell as doing volunteer hours in a day nursery to complete the course.
I’m a friendly individual and willing to ensure all the children are safe and enjoy their day whilst being at the nursery. I have a lot of experience with children from ages 0-16 as having a range of siblings. During the college course there is a total of 365 hours a year in different age groups to complete. At the setting I help out in different rooms depending on where I am needed. I encourage the children to share, to play with each other to make everyone feel as equal as everyone else. In this volunteer role I play with the children to make their day the best it could be.
