I am a mother of two older children and a qualified maternity nurse / Nanny with over 10 years of experience working with children from the ages of newborn to the age of 12 and their families.
I'm very passionate about my work and offer the best care that I individually tailor to each family's specific needs. I'm a naturally nurturing and gentle person who enjoys working alongside families to aid them with their little ones.
I keep my skills and knowledge up to date by extensive reading and learning from the amazing families I have worked with over the years. I am well-travelled which has further gained me incredible experiences as well as opened me to diversity.
My Experience
I have experience with babies from birth which has allowed me to help parents establish a gentle, good and structured routine, that results in a happier and more contented baby. This we attain with the parents by scheduling the baby's feeds and sleep correctly in a 24 hour period to ensure that your baby gets the correct milk intake during the day,
I also find joy in assisting new parents with getting their baby onto the right routine, resulting in less anxiety and sleepless nights for the entire family. I do believe in encouraging a baby to self-settle and to encourage healthy sleep habits, but I respect the wishes of every parent and flexible in my approach.
I am meticulous in my work, organised, discreet, punctual, trustworthy, respectful and easy to be around.
I am also available to help settle Mum and baby in after arriving home from the hospital. I will support and guide mum in all aspects of baby care and guide on a feeding and sleeping routine.
I also do shorter bookings for 48hrs or 72hrs to help implement a routine and help with sleeping issues in young babies, such as helping them to learn to self settle and link up sleep cycles. Often when babies wake up after 40-45 minutes sleep, they have trouble resettling again. I can show you how to gently encourage your baby to fall back to sleep. I will work alongside you with this, giving you the tools to continue after I leave.

Qualified/accredited Maternity Nurse and Nanny, Paediatric first aid trained, DBS checked, Public liability insured and Ofsted registered

My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Maternity Nursing from £20.00 per hour (gross)
Fees are dependent on the type of booking; day rates differ night rates, twenty-four-hour booking and weekend rates are also different, as well as bank holidays.
These can be negotiated and agreed upon with a prospective client.

Helena was our night nanny for 3 months immediately following the birth of our first child and she was brilliant. It was obvious from the start that Helena was highly experienced and competent so we could get some proper rest confident that our daughter was in safe hands. Likewise, as novice parents it was great having Helena to answer our (numerous) questions and give advice. We were particularly keen to establish a routine early on and to encourage the baby to sleep through the night as soon as possible since I was returning to work after 3.5 months. Helena provided great support with this including tips about how to structure activities and naps during the day so the baby would be tired at night, and gently stretching out the time between feeds. Much to our delight, by the time Helena left our baby was sleeping 11.30pm to 6am. Perhaps most importantly of all, it was a pleasure having Helena in our house - she somehow manages to be kind and good fun but also discreet and respectful of your privacy. We cannot recommend Helena highly enough.
Overall
Helena was with us for the first 2 weeks of our baby’s life on 24/6 basis. She is an extremely warm and caring lady and we loved having her around. We are lucky to have a very calm baby so ended up not needing extra help in the end. We would recommend Helena without any hesitation.

The household was quiet during the night which allowed for rest.
The twins were kept clean well fed and rested contentedly.
Helena was respectful, calm and gentle. She got on well with entire household.
She kept the twins surrounding clean as well as other used areas.
She took the initiative to help out when needed even beyond her job description.
She's was a real good addition to this journey with our twins and I would recommend her to any mother who's looking for a calm gentle transition of their babies into the family.

Overall
From the day Helena started she integrated into our lives so seamlessly. She instantly built a rapport with our 5 month old son and made him feel very comfortable around her.
Helena always went above and beyond what was expected of her. Our son had some feeding difficulties early on which meant we were busy week after week with doctor appointments, making it very hard to keep on top of the day to day home stuff. Helena took a lot of the stress away by completing all of the tasks we had set her related to our son as well as helping us with the cooking and cleaning and shopping.
We are so grateful to have found such a loving, caring and gentle maternity nurse like Helena. We would highly recommend her to anyone.
