About Me
Hi, I'm GiGi - I am currently in my second year at Durham University (studying Spanish and beginners Italian) and am looking for a part-time nannying job or occasional babysitting during term time. I have lots of experience working with children, that including: SEMH teaching assistant (my current job during university holidays), 3 months as an au pair in Spain, summer camp instructor, SEN teaching assistant, part-time nanny (whilst studying at university last year) and volunteer teacher. On top of my experience, I am first-aid trained, have recently had an enhanced DBS search (for my teaching assistant job), an able cook, drive (and have my car with me in Durham) and am great with kids. I can work afternoons/evenings and occasional weekends, with very flexible working hours. I love working with children so would be able to help out with your children when you cannot. My Experience
Most recently, I work as a teaching assistant at an SEMH (social emotional and mental health) school for children with behavioural needs during my university holidays which I absolutely adore. I also was a part-time nanny last year whilst studying at university. Last year, I worked as an SEN teaching assistant in a school for children with ADHD/autism between the age of 4 and 17. Prior to that, I spent 3 months as an au pair in Spain to a 9 year old boy and 6 year old girl. Previously, I worked over summer at a camp for children. I have also volunteered as a classroom assistant for an afternoon a week at a local primary school with children between the age of 4 and 8. I helped out with an after school club teaching Spanish to children between the age of 8 and 11. I also spent a week at my old prep school as an assistant in Spanish, French and Latin lessons.
My Qualifications
Completed 10 GCSEs in 2019 and A-levels in Spanish, French and English in 2021.
