About Me
Hi my name is Michelle, I live in Chesterton Cambridge with my husband and two Children:- 23 year old daughter who is studying to become a teacher and a 19 year old daughter who is at York university.
We also have a friendly and lazy chocolate lab, he doesn't have direct contact with childminders children.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for over 17 years, and have looked after children of all ages and backgrounds. I aim to provide a high level of childcare in a safe warm and caring environment, where children can develop and learn at their own pace. I provide a variety of activities and toys, including arts, crafts, story and music time, outings to local toddler groups and parks.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered
Have Completed and Passed ICP
Have Paediatric first aid certificate
Have attended Training in Early Years Foundation Stage
Training is on going
I obtained a good in my last ofsted inspection in 2018

My daughter started with Michelle when she was about 11 months old and had not been apart from myself hardly at all. We were worried she'd struggle to settle but within a few days, Michelle had obviously been so very caring and lovely with her that we haven't looked back since! My daughter is really pleased to see Michelle in the morning and walks towards her for a cuddle. It's extremely reassuring for me to know that whilst she's not with us, she's being so well cared for by another mother. Michelle takes the children out to parks and playgrounds and does lots of things in her lovely garden with them. Finding good childcare is hard and I'm so glad that we found Michelle.

Michelle is a truly wonderful childminder! Our 15-month old daughter Maia settled in with her amazingly quickly. While we struggle for Maia to take proper naps, Michelle worked her magic and got her to sleep up to 2.5 hours, within the first week of Maia being in her care! Maia finds it hard to see her parents leave, but Michelle always knows what to do to distract her and cheer her up, and Maia is settled even before I have left the house! Maia has also been eating much better than she used to at home. Michelle takes the children to play groups and the park, and invents different toys and games for them to play with at her home, so that they get different types of stimulation and learning activities all the time. She also sends the children home with a daily report, so that we know what they've been up to. Michelle is honestly the best childminder I've met and we're very sad to be moving to the other side of town. I recommend her in the strongest possible terms!

My 2-year old son has been with Michelle for 2 months now and loves it there. Michelle is caring, flexible and very professional. It is always hard leaving your little one behind when going to work but I have no worries that he is well cared for and safe. I would highly recommend Michelle!

Michelle has been the perfect childminder for our daughter Freya (now 19-months). Freya enjoyed spending time with Michelle and was always excited to be going to her house. She always seemed happy when I went to collect her and sometimes didn’t want to leave. Freya is a sociable child and she enjoyed going to the local childminder groups where she could play with lots of other children. Michelle is reliable and very caring with the children and I felt very comfortable leaving my daughter in her care.
I was sorry we had to move away from Cambridge and take Freya away from Michelle. I would thoroughly recommend her as a childminder.

Our daughter Tillie has been with Michelle for 6 months and she absolutely loves Michelle. She smiles when I drop her off and is always happy and smiley when I pick her up. Michelle is always very helpful and flexible. She made us feel so welcome when we first met and made the transition back to work so much easier for us. She is always happy to help out very accommodating to our needs.
Michelle is also very professional and sends a nice report book home so we know what Tillie has been up to all day. I would recommend Michelle to anyone who needs a friendly, flexible and professional child-minder.
