About Me

Hello, my name is Kerry Wornell Levett, I am NNEB qualified (NVQ L3 equiv). I have been caring for other people's children for 32 years(!) I started my working life in 1992 as a Nanny working for some amazing families over the years, including a position at Benenden Girl's School and working for British Diplomats on a home posting. At the height of my career I interviewed for Jemima Khan and to care for the late Bobby Moore's Grandchildren. I decided on a slightly more down to earth position and worked my last 5 years as a live-in Nanny for a Baron between their houses in London, Kent and Scotland.

After having children of my own, I became a registered childminder. First and foremost though, I am a Mummy. I now know how hard it is for any parent to leave their precious little one and return to work. I like to think I support my parents as much as I can. I absolutely love my job, although they all seem to be growing up very quickly at the moment! While I would regard myself as a professional childcarer, I like to maintain a very relaxed 'home from home' environment for the children I care for. This is, in my opinion, the most suitable form of childcare for young children. I am proud to say after 32 years working consistently in childcare, I draw on a wealth of experience which I’m delighted to share with new parents embarking on their journey through parenthood. It’s not always easy and the internet doesn’t have all of the answers! We keep very busy with messy activities, cooking, singing, dancing and stories to name but a few. We regularly visit local parks, libraries and toddler groups. I have annual membership to Kent Life and we meet up with other childminders in the local area. Most importantly I give the children lots of love and pay attention to their individual needs and interests. I only provide care for preschool children, I don’t offer preschool or school pick ups/drop offs as this proves too disruptive to our day.

All pre school children have:

•Daily diary and photographs
•2 year old development check & transitional documents (EYFS requirement)

All of these are intended to be an informal two way flow of information between myself and parents which can be kept to look back on in years to come.

I am registered to receive tax free childcare payments.
