About Me
We are two childminders working in partnership registered under a childminding agency.
We are Federica Barbato and Sara Velasco running Little Bell Home Nursery. We are open full time from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. Our setting is based in a flat on the ground floor. We look after children aged 6 months to 5+ years old. The setting has been set up to encourage adventure, creativity and diversity with our multilingual background from Italy, Spanish and Filipino. The setting also offers various activity and educational experiences in accordance with EYFS. This will include children building skills around maths, literacy, arts and crafts and role play.
We provide healthy breakfast and snacks. Our aim is to encourage children to eat heathier by involving children in cooking activities and sharing knowledge about the importance of eating heathier.
We love taking children out for outdoor activities and we believe that children can learn from the outside world rather than being indoors. We like implementing forest school activities that will provide the children hands on experiences in the natural environment. Promoting outdoor learning helps them to develop confidence and problem-solving skills as they have an opportunity to take more supported risks.
Daily trips to parks are guaranteed as well as many other planned trips like farms, pumpkin patch, gymnastics and soft play.
Little bell setting incorporates activities based on the Montessori philosophy and curiosity approach. We provide children with highly engaged play and with various learning activities based on different themes. We like to create and work in an inspiring and transformative learning environment using natural resources to promote eco sustainable materials for planned activities.
Our planned activities are based on the curiosity approach to encourage child led play and give them the freedom to explore and play using their own initiative to direct their own learning. It is based on encouraging self-confidence and independence through activities that involve problem solving while developing social and intellectual growth. We use natural and authentic resources and different recycling tool to create activities, as well as sensory toy and arts and craft.
Our top priority within Little Bell setting is to ensure diversity. This will involves celebrating various beautiful cultures through different activities.
My Experience
Federica - I have 5 years experience as a nursery practitioner in various nursery’s based in London . I have been working as a child minder for the past 2 years and I truly enjoy my work . I have worked with different ages groups ranging from 6 months old to 5 years. My greatest experience has been the upbringing of my daughter who is 3 years old. I have experience with babies and children with English as a second languages as I am bilingual speaking fluent Italian as well as having an excellent level of English.
Sara - I am working in partnership with Federica working as registered childminder from October 2022. Before becoming a childminder, I volunteered at Little Bell to observe and help with small tasks with the children's activities. After having such a great experience learning from Federica, I took the role of an assistant whilst getting my certificates and requirements to become a childminder.
My experience as a mother of my 20 months old son has given me great skills and experience to provide care for children. I am registered nurse for 10 years working ad hoc.
My background is from Philippines and born from Spain. I am trilingual , first language is Spanish, fluent in English and Filipino language.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
£63 for daily care from 8am to 5pm.
This price also includes morning breakfast and healthy snacks however doesn’t not include lunches. Children are free to bring their own pack lunch.
No care service will be provided during bank holidays.
No pick up and drop off will be provided at the moment.
Current available space for full day on Monday and Wednesday 8 am to 5pm (all year around)

I was very nervous about leaving my son with someone else, as a first time mum I definitely needed someone I could trust to leave my baby with. As soon as I met Federica and Sara in person I saw how caring and lovely they are, and how much they know about the different techniques or approaches to learning. My son just turned one when he started his settling sessions with Sara and Federica, and even though it's meant to be a bit of a process, he was so happy with them that it only took 4 days of settling for him to be able to stay full time. I am Spanish and I asked Sara if it was possible for her to talk to Ivar mainly in Spanish to keep up with his learning, and I am extremely happy and impressed of how much he has learnt! He understands so well what I asked him to do, either in Spanish and English. I love that they use all of their languages knowledge with the kids, Federica native language is Italian, and Sara's Spanish. I've never going to forget one day that I went to pick my son up and one of the other kids (British) told me Ciao! as I was leaving, I think it is fantastic. Ivar is learning and very enthusiastic to eat by himself with cutlery now, which it's also thanks to them, and he shows to know lots of nursery songs dances from their music time.
I could be here all day explaining everything I love from them. I feel extremely lucky that I found them, and I am a 100% sure that I won't be changing him to anywhere else until it's his time to start school.

I have a very clingy daughter & I was dreading her going to a childminder. From the moment she started her settling in i could tell these ladies would care and be there in the way I needed them to be. Gast forward almost a year and my daughter asks me regularly if she is going to play at their house today, she loves it. From the seasonal themed play room, to their park fun, to their singing, the children have a day jammed packed with activities and no screens in sight. These ladies are a blessing and I'm so grateful I found them. I'll be at work and get a little video sent me, or a photo and its so reassuring. Could not recommend them higher.

My son has joined the setting when he was 13 months and he settled in in less than a month. Once he settled he would jump into Federica’s arms, you could see how happy he was to go there and it has been a joy for me to see how well he was doing.
Sarah and Federica are amazing childminders, kind, caring, helpful and always easy to reach.
My son is developing great since he is going there, he does lots of activities and I love seeing everything he does during the day thanks to the various pictures and videos Sarah sends me to keep me informed.
I highly recommend them as they are fantastic childminders.

Sarah and Federica are excellent childminders; they are approachable, friendly, kind and patient.
My child has been attending their setting for about 6 months and is developing tremendously. Sarah and Federica are highly committed to the children they look after.
The two things I appreciate most about their approach is how creative they are and the level of thought that goes into each day’s activities, whilst still achieving the required EYFS. They are also open to ideas and suggestions and take a collaborative approach.
I also appreciate how much they promote cultural inclusivity and diversity in the materials they use.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an intimate and professional setting!

Sara and Federica are everything we hoped we will find in a childminder. Noah joined in the beginning of the year, and he is absolutely loving being looked after them. We are always happy to see the variety of activities they are doing during the day. The ladies create a fun and educational environment including nice time outside. So happy with food they provide which is a variety of healthy food. Sara and Federica are kind, patient, excellent in communication and caring. We are very glad that we found them and highly recommend for anyone looking for fantastic childminders.
