About Me
I am a mother of 4 (nearly all grown up) and brought them up to be independent, caring, creative Montessori kids. I'm Montessori qualified, a qualified childminder and run a parent-toddler group on Tuesday mornings. I enjoy volunteering and used to manage Dorking Community Fridge; the team won The Queen's Award for Volunteering.
I'm dependable, trustworthy and passionate about helping children experience the world through their senses, developing their creativity and guiding them through literacy and maths, using Montessori Materials and resources found in the home and in the environment.
I also design, create and equip Montessori spaces for families and Nursery Schools and offer adhoc nanny and babysitting services. I have an enhanced Ofsted DBS Certificate on the update service, Paediatric First Aid and full insurance to work in client's homes.
I have recently trained as a Youth (ages 2 to 17) and Adult Mental Health First Aider and I am looking forward to working alongside the mental health professionals to support our community.
I also sing in a community choir..
My Experience
I run a weekly Montessori Parent-Toddler group in North Holmwood (Montetods) and love creating fun activities and talking to and engaging children and their grown ups..
I use Montessori Didactic Material to help children develop Literacy and Maths skills and to help them catch up, where necessary.
My Qualifications
I have a Montessori Diploma, a Montessori Trainer's Certificate, a Childminding Certificate, an Ofsted dbs certificate and 1st Aid and safeguarding certificates as well as full insurance.
