My name is Vicky Harrison I am a registered child minder based in hallglen falkirk, located close to the new road into Redding. I have two children, my son Robert is 22 is working and my daughter Kezia is 17 and heading to college. My partner Alan is fully PVG checked and registered on my certificate so is able to help with the children when he is home. He works for kerry foods and works shifts so not always here.
We have a our family pets Petra Minnie and Phoebe, 3 dogs mum and two daughters. Petra is 9 and had puppies in February 2013, This was a fabulous experience for me, my family and all the children in my care. we have now ended up keeping 2 of her pups which sounds crazy but they are very good with the kids and the kids love to play with them after watching them grow since birth, this has been a very enjoyable learning experience for everybody and all my families have enjoyed their children being part of this.The dogs are upstairs most of the time, although the children have plenty of time to interact with them they also have their own quiet place so both pups and children can have their own time.
I previously worked for Scottish Gas in the call centre for eight years.
I have an interest in child minding as my eldest child went to a child minder when I was working. He developed so well from the combined help from both the child minder and me that I would like to offer other families the same support now I have my second child.
I know from personal experience how important it is to find the right childcare for your child, I also feel building up relationships with parents/guardians is vital for a good child minder. I aim to work in partnership with children's families, to ensure that the care your child receives is the best possible care, tailored to their needs, and to ensure continuity of care from your home to mine.
My Experience
I have had vast experience with children over the years mainly with my own but previously I completed a National Certificate in Child Care & Education, and on occasions I provided cover at my daughter’s nursery if they are short and need parent helpers, all the children know me and I get on well with them all.
I have worked in a few nurseries over the years.
I also help out with school activities and school trips at school where i can.
I have completed my SVQ3 in childcare

National Certificate of Chilcare and Education
I have various scotvec modules
first aid certificate
food hygiene certificate
completed my SVQ 3 in childcare
registered with the council to work in partnership to provide funded places.
My Availability
Normal working hours are 7.30-5.30pm mon-fri
I am not currently providing overnight care.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.50 per hour pre school (min 10 hours per week)
£10.00 before school
£16.50 after school
£8 out of hours and weekends (before 8am or after 6pm)
fees are per child.
babysitting fees start from £15 per hour please call for a quote.

I would highly recommend Vicky. My son can be quite shy and take a while to trust people. However it was only a matter of weeks when he would be asking to go to Vicky's, which was unheard of for him to actually ask for other people. We have had a rollercoaster journey with potty training, something which Vicky has also worked hard with us and my son, and helping build my sons confidence. My son also built good relationships with other children in Vicky's care.
I enjoy the regular updates in the private facebook group. My son has come on leaps and bounds in Vicky's care, through a variety of different activities in her care.

I cant tell you how amazing this lady is.....my daughter has learned more off her than any nursery would ever teach her.vicky does loads with the kids and my daughter is very close to her and her family x i would never see past her ever!!!

Vicky has cared for my 1 year old daughter Marley for around 6 months and I'm really pleased with the care she provides and all the regular updates and pipictures to let me see what Marley has been Upto Marley has learnt alot of things even though she is just young she has really enjoyed going to Vicky and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder. Thanks Vicky for everything I'm sure Marley will miss you xx
Overall
Vicky has been watching my 3 children for nearly a year. My children (rogue 6, xavier 4, tarquin 3) love going to vicky's .
My youngest son is going through special needs assessments at the moment and i was very worried about leaving him with anyone. Vicky has done wonders with my son he is now talking in full sentences and hitting some mile stones i thought he never might reach she truly is amazing and i would recommend her too any parent even those who have children with special needs.
My children love spending time at Vicky's . They love the interaction with other children and the activities that Vicky arranges they also love the 3 well behaved child friendly dogs she has. I know a lot of parents would be put off by this but these dogs are part of the family and my children love them to bits. Vicky does have an area were the dogs can be sectioned off if she feels the children are being over stimulated or the poor dogs need a rest from the children.
I don't know what i would do without vicky in my life she is a friendly loving lady who always has time too talk if needed and takes wonderful care of my 3 children i cant stress enough how great she is and how much time and effort she put into my children. If you are looking for someone reliable,friendly,easy too talk too and fantastic with children of any age/ ability then she is worth meeting.

My son age 3 and my daughter age 1 were in vickys care for 6months and it isn't through choice that i had to give it up.
Vicky was always observant with the kids and done everthing to help me along with there development.Vicky dropped my son of at nursery then took my daughter to playgroup no ifs or buts my son was good at tantrums, vicky showed her patience on numerious occasions and worked with me and my son.
He also had a fear of dogs through an experience however vickys dog seemed to put his faith back into them.
Plenty for the kids to do in there own playroom. Plenty days out planned even through holidays!
I cannot speak highly enough of Vicky, I recommend her 110%.
