About Me

My name is Sarah, I run the Cheeky monkeys child minding service. I am married to Mark. We have 3 children Abi, Jacob, and Caleb,

I mainly work on my own but at times Mark is working with me as my assistant. This is mainly in the holidays when we are taking the children on outings, treats etc.

The language spoken in the house is English. I have completed a course to learn basic welsh plus I have completed level 1 & 2 in Makaton (baby sign language).

I am registered with the CSSIW (Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales). I am a member of the PACEY ( Child minding Association).
I have undergone stringent checks in order to register as a childminder these include police checks, health and character checks. Also safety checks have been carried out on my home. I have public liability insurance and have regular inspections by the care standards inspectorate. I have business class on my car insurance so I able to transport the children.
I attend a lot of different training courses and workshops run by the network which helps me provide a better standard of care.

I provide care for children from young babies up to high school age. I don’t set specific ages as I feel each family I care for have different needs and I will try to accommodate that.
I provide care for any child regardless of gender, age, religion, race or ability.

I aim to work together in partnership with parents / guardians in order for their values, practice and wishes to be respected and ensure a continuity of care is given to the child.
I will provide every child in my care with a home-like environment where everyone feels valued.
I will provide a caring, happy, safe, stimulating and clean environment where standards are high, independence can be developed, and learning opportunities are there in either structured or free play. Each child is given lots of encouragement and opportunity to try new things and experiences and to take part in daily activities. This is so they can achieve their full potential and promote self-esteem. My priority is to keep each child safe, happy and to have lots of fun.
