I was in the Royal Navy for 10 years but after having my children I wanted to stay at home and give them the best care I could give and wanted to share my warm and loving home care with other children. My daughter was looked after by a childminder.
Having moved into my new house (2011) I have created a stimultating, fun and exciting play room that's cheerful, bright, clean and warm I will welcome your child into my environment with planned and spontaneous activities and outings. I have a large back garden and go out the house most days.
I aim to provide a stimulating and happy play environment offering both a high standard of care and activities that will help develop your child into a well-rounded confident little person.
I follow the Early Years Goals as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage birth to five which is all designed to encourage your child to develop skills needed in preparation for school.
I go to PLENTY of play groups where your child will practice their social and interaction skills as well as having so much fun, making and doing!!!!!
May 2017, my husband registered as my assistant and is used when required.
My Experience
I worked in a Nursery Setting before starting my childminding business,
I have helped with Portsmouth City Council running Creche's around the city and now work only as a childminder, as well as being a super mummy!

First Aid Trained
Advanced certificate in Safeguarding Children
Food Hygiene
I encourage and use a lot of Makaton signing. It's so lovely to see a baby of 10 months signing please and thank you!!

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.80 per hour
My fees are based on an hourly rate at £4.80
All fees are subject to change with notice.
Double charge for out of hours - before 0730 and after 1700
I offer childcare voucher scheme via your workplace and Nursery Education Grants (NEG) 15 hours or 30 hours Government funded sessions for 2,3,4 year olds
Term time only contracts, fees will differ.
All food is to be supplied, I shall pay for playgroups, with big day trips I will ask for a contribution.
All nappies, infant bottles formula milk and food are to be provided by the parents. (Under 1)

In the search for a childminder I came across Paula, as one of my first contacts through this site. Within minutes of a text, to see when she would be free for a chat, she rang me. We talked for 20 odd minutes, like we had known each other for years. Not having the spaces I needed, the journey should have ended there BUT NO, Paula is one of those people that has time for everyone and will go out of her way to help. Like a little Guardian Angel she advised, suggested and even made phone calls for me herself!
Long story short, she made such an impact that, while I was viewing some other local childminders, I asked could i just pop in to see her. My husband and I were blown away by her professional surroundings and the relationship she struck up with our little girl within seconds. Compared with some other 'good' graded childminders we had seen, Paula should definitely, without doubt, be an 'outstanding', this is a perfect example of how vast the 'good' graded can be and it's shocking.
Paula is every thing you should expect from a top childminder plus a whole heap more! Check her out for yourself ;0) X
Overall
Paula contacted me after viewing my profile and after meeting her, we made the instant decision to use her. She made a lasting impression and we were so happy with her. We used her for 2 years and are really sad now our little boy is starting pre-school. Would be hard to find another like her.
