About Me
My name is Louise and I am a mum of two boys aged 12 and 16 and I have been working as a childminder for over 9 years now. I live in a quiet road which is surrounded by woodland and lovely views, my home is warm and friendly but is over run with toys!
I am on the 32 bus route which runs every 20 Mintues to town.
We have a large back garden with plenty of room to run around in with plenty of toys and a trampoline to wear the little ones out. We have just had a covered play area built so they can be outside in all weathers without getting too wet.
I enjoy working and caring for children and love watching and encouraging them to learn and develop. I think a childs learning journey is special and will make sure the parents are as much involved as I can, and to include them in my ideas and planning. I follow the Early Years Foudation stage Guidlines and will carry out 6 monthly reviews with parents.
We treat all the children like they are part of our family.
I have been a governor at the local school for 4 years now which I throughly enjoy, I also love sport and reading,
I'm a smoker who has never smoked in my own home or car and would not smoke whilst im working.
My Experience
My two boys are lively and love mischief, who love nothing more then making mud pies, playing football, digging the garden or racing on the ride-ons.
We have an extensive range of books availble for all ages, and a quite area to encourage reading, for the older children we have a number of computer consoles with age related games and access to the internet for games
or homework, this is protected through my provider and monitored closely by myself, there is also a football and pool table available,
I try to take all the children on a learning walk once a week either to the libaray, park or woods and let them chose the subject we are going to discuss along the way.
We have a small vegetable garden which the children help with from planting the seeds to digging out the vegetables to eat, which in turn will get children to try things they don't always seem to want to!
Last Ofsted Nov 2012 was judge as good.
We go to a toddler group on a Monday and Thursday, and a Church run after school club on a Wednesday.
If your child has a structured sleep pattern I will do my best to keep to the times you have set as all children need unbroken sleep in bed.
I have been on the advisory board at the local surestart centre and always help out with activities when I can. I use the centre for activities and toddler groups. .

My name is Liz and I am Louise's Ofsted registered assistant. I have three primary school age children, two boys and a girl. I have experience in a variety of childcare settings, including holiday clubs, church run weekly after school club, parent volunteer at school, working as cover staff in a pre school, and I have spent a year doing long term sick cover in a montessori nursery. Practical training (covering ages 6wks-8yrs) alongside my level 3 included experience in, a family home, pre school, Reception, yr 1 & 2 and a day nursery.
I am also chair of governors at a local primary school and have enjoyed my role as governor for the last 3yrs.

Monday- Friday between 07.00-17.00 but can be flexible.
I can collect from the following schools, Ash hill, I do employ an assistant to help with School Runs So please contact me as I maybe able to cover other schools.

My son attended childcare with Louise and Liz for 9 months. Louise provides a friendly professional childminding service which is like a home from home for the children. She is flexible and helpful. Louise has lots of toys and games, the children do lovely craft activities and she takes them out in the holidays. She always had time to talk to the parents, and her family are all welcoming to parents and children. My son loved going to Louise's after school, he had lots of fun and made lots of new friends. Unfortunately, he changed to a school too far for Louise to collect from. Would highly recommend Louise and Liz.
