About Me
Hi my name is Helena and I am an Ofsted Outstanding Childminder running my business under the name of Jexys Juniors. I am 52yrs old, married to a computer engineer, have a daughter who is 15yrs old, a golden retriever dog called Phoebe and a pedigree Ragdoll cat called Gizmo.
I am City & Guilds Level 3 qualified and I am dedicated to giving children quality childcare. I plan activities around the 7 Areas of Learning set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage and ensure that every day at Jexys Juniors is different from the last, varied and fun. I work closely with other childminders and Pre-Schools in the area to ensure continuity of care and development support.
I am very proud to say that Jexys Juniors has been graded "Outstanding" by Ofsted and has a 5* rating from the Food Standards Agency.

Helena has cared for our two children and we cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone who will listen! When we initially began searching for a childminder, we visited many, and although Helena was the furthest away....we felt immediately comfortable in her home environment, and all other choices disappeared. As well as being kind, nurturing and gentle....Helena provided exciting and interactive activities for the children at every age range. It was like leaving our children in the care of a family member....but better! I always knew they would be cared for, protected and praised as well as learning and creating. We often look through the book of photos Helena presented us with on leaving with fondness, and cannot believe all of the amazing activities and opportunities she provided. She really did give both of our children the best start in their young lives and they went to school prepared and confident. We are forever grateful to Helena for looking after our children as if they were her own.

A wonderful setting, incredible attention to detail in all activities and facilities. I am so glad we found Helena as our childminder and would highly recommend to any parent who is apprehensive about putting their child in the care of another. Helena made us feel right at home and felt instantly trustworthy making the whole childcare experience a really easy transition to what can feel like such a daunting task. This in turn has made our child feel content and happy to come and visit each week, enjoying all the thoughtful themes and crafts, to the updates of their days together. A Clean, safe enviroment lovely outdoor play, oh and the soft play summerhouse is a super bonus! Do not hesitate to consider.

Helena is so kind, caring and enthusiastic at everything she does with the children. She is so organised and has every activity & theme planned for the week. Her home is the perfect setting for a home from home and 2 years on my little boy still remembers all the adventures he had at Helena's. 100% recommended her to anybody who is lucky enough to get a place with her for there little one.

Helena is a fantastic childminder. We have 4 children, and she has cared for them all.
The days are always exciting and varied, and the children are always so very excited to be going to Helena's. As they move into school they are well prepared and equipped for the change because of Helena and her fantastic efforts with them
Days out and trips are amazing, and the setting is wonderful, frequently updated and always something new to see as the garden passes through the seasons. We literally cannot speak highly enough of Helena and would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for the best care for their children.
