****Update … NO LONGER CHILDMINDING DUE TO ILL HEALTH *****
Hi i am 51and have 2 children of my own 26 and 24 yrs so they are up and away now I have been a registered childminder for 16 but have been childminding for total of 26 and i am a N.N.E.B qualified nursery nurse. I have had at least 30 yrs of experience of working with children and supervising crèches ) I live in the west end (broomhill) ,of glasgow.There is never a shortage of things to do in the west end!!. I am a VERY friendly,flexible ,childminder and i try to suit everyones needs. I go to toddlers ,libraries,music classes, bounce and rhyme,soft play,parks etc and during summer(if we get any sunshine) i may go on trips to places of interest...usually on public transport because the children love that. we play in garden and local parks , i'm a great believer that children learn through play and it's mostly child led , i like them to use their imagination. My garden is small, but just big enough for babies and toddlers to have a lot of fun , be it on the slides , in water table, sand pit or toys we take out in when weather is good, we practically live outside ;)
I have business insurance for my car and car seats for every stage.. We also have two very friendly cats at home, one is getting older but i feel it's important to teach children all about respecting animals, so they soon learn not to disturb them when they are sleeping;). My childminding business is simply a home from home environment which i feel is great for babies and toddlers as it makes the transition from their home to mine a lot easier, and settle quicker in my experience due to it being like a one to one
It's usually the parents that struggle to leave their child more than the child being upset , i totally understand how this feels, and this is why i chose to childmind as it meant i could look after my own children at home , they said they had a great childhood ( thankfully ;))
My care inspectorate reports are available online,i have recently had my inspection and received all 5s again ;-)
My Experience
I have at least 27rs experience as i qualified as an n.n.e.b. nursery nurse in 1991,then i nannied in various countries, mainly munich in germany ) Was a supervisor also in a creche (FLAGSHIP LEISURE CENTRE,ANNIESLAND) for 3yrs until having my own children.

My Availability
**Updated…. i am not currently active as a childminder as i am taking time out due to ill health *****
My new hours after august 2020 are 8- 4.30/5.00turs wed thurs, I prefer part time and would prefer part time in summer or term time only
I COLLECT ONLY FROM THORNWOOD NURSERY FROM AUG ONWARDS AND BROOMHILL PRIMARY
COVID 19 .... as this year has been a bit of a shock to everyone i’ve decided to open back up for after school spaces
only broomhill primary thoughts i have a pick up ther already
and if school days will be staggered i will be a able to care for your child on the “ home days”
