About Me
I am a 37 years old and a mum of 2 boys age 12 and 15. I am a non smoker and i love children and over the years have worked with newborns til 12 year olds. We currently live in huntingdale, ballyclare so close to all local schools.I was a private nanny for a doctor for years and also have experience with special needs and children with ADHD/ADD and autism awareness training and am currently taking various workshops to help with different issues that may arise with asd.
I am a NICMA registered childminder. I understand that each child is different and I always treat them as an individual and do my best to meet there needs. I am a caring loving person and your child/ children would be in good hands. I aim to provide a friendly, stimulating and safe enviroment for all children in my care . I provide a wide range of activities a few of which are listed below
* home corner
* dressing up/ role play
* sand/water play
* baking activities
* a range of art and craft activities including painting and play dough.
* a large range of indoor and outdoor toys
Term time we attend local mother and toddler groups and enjoy visits to the park and local library. Over school holiday periods we enjoy planned trips to the zoo,carnfunock country park,peoples park , w5, funky monkeys and the cinema.
My Experience
I can provide excellent references from local families where both parents are doctors. I also have 2 children of my own and have been working with children for 16 years.
My Qualifications
I have my NVQ level 2 and 3 Early years and education. I also have basic food hygiene certificate. I have a safeguarding children certificate, health and safety certificate ,full paediatric first aid certificate a certificate in early learning science and a certificate in promoting outdoor play. I also have my level 2 food safety qualification. I have completed courses in Asperger’s syndrome, infection prevention and control, understanding children’s rights, promoting positive behaviour, autism awareness, ADHD awareness, understanding diabetes, understanding epilepsy, advanced child protection, understanding asthma, mental well-being in children and young people, supporting children with SEND in the early years and supporting early language development.I am also registered on the nicma website and am registered with the northern health and social care trust.
My Availability
I am very very flexible and do my best to accommodate your needs. I am available to pick up from ballyclare nursery school , busy bees and fairview primary school. I have full and part time places available for after school children and holiday cover.

Trisha looked after my daughter since she was 3 months old until she was nearly 4 years. as a full time working mother I had little time in the day to look into her day to day needs and she wasn't the easiest child to feed. With Trisha looking after her I had very little in terms of diet and other milestones to worry about. She achieved amazing things with Anouk and we were proud of how healthy and a well behaved child she was and it was all thanks to Trisha and her two great kids who were her loving companions. we were sad to loose her as our babysitter when we left Northern Ireland. Any family who is lucky enough to have her will undoubtedly have their kids the best loving care possible.
