I am a fun and friendly mum of 2 girls and a baby boy and live in Clevedon (near Bristol)
I love being outdoors with my children and dog- taking walks along the coast or in the woods- rain or shine.
We love painting, drawing, crafts, role play, reading, walks and bike/scooter rides :)
My Experience
My first nannying role was from 2015-2017 working for a lovely family with 3 year old twins, both had special additional needs (ASD & ADHD). I had sole charge on 2 days and supported mum on the 3rd day due to health issues. I completely fell in love with these lovely children and loved my role as their nanny however had to leave due to travel issues and my own childcare.
I also did after school care for an 8 year old one day a week in Clevedon, I took my daughter along and they got on extremely well and enjoyed playing together. I helped with homework and prepared snacks and tea for him.
My most recent nanny role was looking after a little boy, I was with him from the age of 7 months until 15 months. We spent our days going for walks, picnics, visiting playgrounds, soft plays and baby groups whilst his parents ran their business from home. I had and still have a wonderful relationship with this family and really enjoyed being their nanny. I left this role to have my own baby in November 2023.
Before and in between nannying I have worked in a number of settings including nurseries, baby units and schools and have a range of experience with ages 0-10 years. I have experience working with children with additional needs and supporting children with English as an additional language. I have newborn and young baby experience too (being a mum myself I’m qualified in burping, nappy changing and general baby duties)
I am Makaton trained.
My absolute passion in life is working with children and I have dedicated my life, career and education to improving my professional development and becoming the best early years practitioner I can be.
I also understand first hand how difficult it can be returning to work and leaving your child and am on hand to ease the separation and make the process happier and more comfortable for everyone :)
I am currently on maternity leave and will be looking for a new role from August/September 2024
My Qualifications
*11 GCSE's at level C and above
*2 A Levels and 1 AS Level
*NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development
*BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood
I have completed first aid training in the past (now expired) plus other various training courses such as safeguarding children, conflict resolution and food hygiene. I have a thorough knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Laura looked after my little boy from when he was 7-15 months old, making my transition back to work so much smoother! She’s helpful, resourceful, communication always clear and most importantly my little one always had a big smile at the end of the day. Cannot recommend Laura enough.

My husband and I interviewed laura as a prospective nanny for our son. Laura clearly loves working with children and is deeply enthusiastic about her job and her children. Had scheduling not been a factor I would have happily hired laura. I think she will make a fantastic nanny for someone.
