Hi, I'm Danielle and I'm a Professionally qualified childminder in the Ely area of Cardiff, feel free to send me a message with your needs and requirements and I'll get back to you as quick as possible, I do get busy at times so I may not be able to reply immediately.
Below is a little about me and my career in childcare.
I'm Danielle and I live with my partner and our daughter, we have 2 dogs Daisy (a bichone fries) and Teddy (a maltichon/Lasah apso) who have grown up around children, we've had them since 8 weeks. I live in my own home that has its own spacious garden.
I am qualified to Cache Diploma Level 3 in Childcare and Education, along with several other CPD certificates.
I have had the chance to work in several different settings such as Government Nursery, Schools and Private Nursery as a Senior Nursery Nurse and as a Childminder. I offer a baby sitting service for the evening and weekend as long as I've not got any plans.
I feel lucky to have had such a wide range of experience, I have worked with children from the age of birth to 13 years of age. I have worked with children for 18+ years, a lot has been voluntary.
Chris (my partner) has completed the home based childcare course and is also a childminder, however he is in the middle of trying to set up his own web design business, he will be in the house and will also interact with the children, he too is DBS checked and holds several CPD certificates. He comes on days out with us at times.
I hold a current and clean DBS previously known as CRB check which clears me to work with children and I hold a full clean drivers licence with 20 years of driving experience.
I have a 13-year-old daughter who I call my miracle because after years of trying and not being successful I thought I'd never be able to have a child. I feel I can give your child/ren the attention and love they need and desire.
I was born here in Wales (Pontypridd) but moved to South Africa with my family when I was 6 months old and I grew up over there, where I learnt Afrikaans (I still know some) and a completely different way of life. I then moved back to Cardiff in 1998 with my family, I went to college and went into childcare and settled into life here.... And as they say that's all there is to know (I think ?)

Where do we start?!
Danielle looked after our son full time from the age of 1 until he started school. She has continued to have him during holidays, some mornings and some days after school while also having our youngest after the COVID lockdown. Danielle provides a safe, fun, educational home from home. Our kids are always excited to arrive and I normally have to coax them out when I come to pick them up! Danielle ensures a range of activities are always available from arts and crafts and water play to park and soft play visits. The 8 years they Danielle has been looking after our children, she really has become extended family and most importantly a great friend. We wouldn't want our kids to go anywhere else.

Danielle has been looking after my son for the last 2 years. I highly recommend her services as a childminder. I know he is in safe hands when I leave him with her and he enjoys the trips and arts and crafts they do together.
She is also very flexible and accommodating if I need extra childcare hours over the holidays etc.

Danielle has looked after both my daughters from about 11 months old ...she is just amazing! Nothing is ever to much trouble..she has made being a working parent so much easier for me and i cant thank her enough

Danielle is an excellent childminder. She helped us out when we needed a childminder for our foster daughter. Felt our foster daughter was in safe hands and made fast friends there. Danielle ensured a varied and healthy diet, and trips out and about which she enjoyed. Regular communication and pictures sent to us. Excellent childminder, would highly recommend.
