I have a long career of over 17 years in childcare, being Night Maternity Nurse , Nanny and mother as well .
I had my own baby boy in June 2017 and my baby girl in May 2020.
After having children myself, I feel I do understand more and very well how a new baby can bring joy and as well frustration to the family . For that I appreciate and consider that the advice and support of a Maternity Nurse will be welcome for any new parents , for helping to create a happy environment for baby and both parents.
I will be happy to support the parents with the folowing informations and activities for there newborn as :
- Bathing baby
- Changing baby
- Feeding baby
- Offering suggestions in regards to breastfeeding if required
- Offering suggestions in regard to routines or sleep routines as the following :

Gina Ford routine - is a very restrictive routine that is supposed to be followed from birth – but as well you can start later on too . This routine give you a structure and help to planning ahead .
From the time your baby is woken in the morning, to nap times, mealtime and bedtime routines, everything is planned out for you at specific times. It may take you a couple of tries before you can get it to work with your baby, as they may already have some established patterns but in a few days, they will be used to their new routine and so will you. The bedtime routine is very long as two hours , and you can’t abandon the routine if you want to do something different in that day , but it may help establish sleeping through the night if you get your baby into a pattern.

Dr. Richard Ferber routine - helps parents to understand the principles of baby sleep and self-settling in order to help establish a good sleep routine. It can help parents who have previously established a good sleep pattern in their babies but whose child then suddenly bucks their pattern with a sleep regression. This may be due to illness or teething – or an unknown factor.
It is a wind-down routine and sleep cues for your baby, plus helpful ideas like getting your partner to settle them if they wake in the night but are not hungry, it shows you how to establish a good routine once more. It’s great for babies who are a few months old and the helpful ideas for getting your baby back to sleep during the night will soon have them sleeping through.

Tracy Hogg routine - it is great for those whose lives need some element of spontaneity, as it doesn’t enforce a strict routine but it helps new parents understand what babies do and when. It also helps you to understand the different noises babies make, from ‘hungry’ to ‘uncomfortable,’ so as to be able to calm your baby back to sleep at night if they are not actually hungry.

Elizabeth Pantley routine - helps get a baby to sleep without tears and is aimed at parents whose babies are over four months old. By keeping a diary of their child’s bedtime routine, how many times they wake during the night and how they wake – crying, yelling, making small noises. To keep record how you got your child back to sleep again. Based on this, you can start to pinpoint what might be hampering your baby from getting to sleep and staying that way, from external things like light and noise to when they had their last feed. It helps you to notice sleep cues, ensure they are getting enough daytime naps and helps you to be able to put your child down to sleep when they are sleepy but not yet asleep – and baby learning to be able to self-settle. It’s good for parents who want to introduce some sort of structure but not one’s that’s too harsh .

- Be able to explain the role of the maternity nurse.
- supporting the baby with reflux and colic
Happy to help for 3- 6 nights per week , starting from 8pm until 6am - Night Maternity Nurse.

I have a natural strong bond with children that I believe comes from my up-bringing and many years working with families and their young babies and children. The families I worked for often comment on how secure and safe they feel when I am taking care of their children and my references will pay testimony to this.

I always strive to ensure the children feel happy, calm, secure and safe in my care.

I describe myself as reliable, patient , caring and full with energy and initiative. I absolutely adore looking after children .

I love the caring aspect of it, watching babies grow into children knowing that you have contributed to them being who they are. It’s rewarding, challenging & exciting.

I really wouldn't be in any other job, its lovely to be part of another family and be able to help parents with bringing up their children, using my experiences and knowledge. There are so many great aspects of being a nanny and maternity nurse.

I feel my strengths are that I am hard working always able to work on my own initiative, by trying to be helpful and not in your way.

I am honest, warm, and consistent in my care and approach to my work. I also believe that I quickly build excellent relationships with parents very quickly gaining their trust and respect. By doing all the best for the good of the child.
