About Me
Hi, I'm Claire a childminder based in Largs for 8 yrs.
I have completed courses on child protection, first aid, food hygiene, infection control and other useful related courses in childcare. I am up to date with all the latest courses recommended by the North Ayrshire council for childminding so that I am equipped to provide the best care for kids in my care. I am registered with the care commission of Scotland. I receive regular inspections from care inspection Scotland, my recent report is available online for parents to review at any time. The environmental health inspection is also carried out regularly at my home. I have recently incorporated my integrated double garage into a custom-built playroom for my childminding kids, this leads directly into my fully enclosed sunny back garden.
I wish the children in my care to enjoy a happy homely setting so they feel at home and can relax, enjoy fun playtime, read and explore, parents can then relax knowing they are in a happy safe environment.
I have a large enclosed garden with slides, swings, a large play frame, sandpit, mud kitchen and play huts, and lots of ride-on toys. The nursery room has lots of fun toys for different age groups and stages to stimulate their imaginations. Daily routines include reading time and arts & craft as well as singing & dancing for all age groups. If it's nice weather then we love getting out and about making use of the local natural areas like parks, beach & toddlers groups with children.
I love my job and get huge satisfaction watching the kids develop and grow in confidence.
Making happy memories. I encourage children in my care to make their own choices and assist them in their daily care by listening to what they like to do each day, it’s all about the kids when they're in my care.

My Experience
I am a mum of three kids, I enjoy expanding my knowledge in childminding training & have completed several childminding courses with North Ayrshire childminding.
Updating my first aid and child protection certificate for 7 yrs and always like to further my care as a childminder to improve my service I did my SVQ in social care
I ran a local toddlers group for 3 yrs allowing me to work and get to know all the local parents in the community, meeting new children all the time and watch them attend groups in the area

I have registered as a funding ELC provider 1140 hrs for childcare for 3/4-year-olds starting in August 2020 and will work & support parents to suit their timetable. I can provide care for your children allowing you to return to work/study and contribute to your children’s well-being & health.

Claire has great contact with my 2,5yrs daughter even though she speaks foreign language and in general she's not confident around new people. It took her just 2 weeks to feel very good with Claire. She has incredibly big and attractive garden which is perfect to spend some time outside. Her nursery at home is full of toys. She provides kids a lot of activities: singing, dancing, painting, play dough.
Picks up and drops off are just perfect and very comfortable :)

Claire is amazing with my girls and her place is very nice with lots of educational things to do for the kids. I used Claire before school and she gives my kids breakfast and drop them off to school. I don’t have to worry about my kids if they’re with Claire for she handles them very well.
Also, Claire is very helpful in any other things that concerns with my kids. Claire will give me ideas of places and activities where I can take my girls when school is off. I can also rely on Claire in some short notice arrangement and she will be happy to take my girls, very accommodating.
Claire is a lovely lady and amazing with kids.

My son (5) and daughter (2) have been in Claire’s childcare for the past year. Claire has provided a warm and caring environment for my children and is very flexible when extra care is required. Claire has a wonderful, clean playroom for the children to play and do activities and a fun garden with lots of things for the children to do. My children really enjoy being looked after by Claire, and enjoy the many things they do outside of the playroom, such as local playgroups, parks and trips to nearby soft plays. Claire was flexible with school pick up when my son’s school finished before the other one, however it is much easier now all the schools finish at the same time. Claire also drops the children off at home when I am home from work which makes it easier at the end of the day. My son also loves going to Claire’s after school and playing with all the amazing toys! Claire also provides a snack after school. When my daughter goes to nursery, Claire has been flexible with the changed hours. My daughter loves Claire and she has become an important part of my daughter’s life.

My twins started with Claire when they were 2 and they absolutely loved going to her house. The play room is clean and spacious with lots of different toys and areas to play. Claire has a big back garden with out door play also. She regularly took them to the park and out doors when the weather was nice and they always had healthy snacks and lunches. Claire would always give me a wee note of what they had been doing and what they had to eat that day and would always send pictures and keep me updated how they were getting on. They had great fun within their time with Claire they were sad to have to end their time with her. Claire is a lovely person and will do her best to accommodate you she also picked the twins up and dropped them off which was an amazing help when trying to get out the door to work! Over all I highly recommend Claire as a child minder.

Claire is a fantastic childminder i would highly recommend her she provides a fun safe environment for kids my daughter maya went to claire before she went to nursery and claire gave her so much knowledge with all the fun activities she done. Claire caters to every childs needs and provides feedback after every visit .
